Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Cary

Ordered delivery and my roast beef and hot pastromi were both fresh and delicious with a good portion of meat but NOT as piled high as in the pictures! Blue chips and red pepper hummus were both fresh and awesome tasting, the best I have ever had. Prices are better than the competitors because you get a side! UPDATE 6/2/23 had delivery again and my Beefeater and Hot Pastrami were delicious and piled high with meat!!❤️ Love the unique sides and this time got the fresh cucumber slices and tzatziki sauce for dipping!! American potato salad was surprisingly sweet so I added my own real mayo and seasoned salt and it was all good.❤️❤️6/22/23 ordered the Papa Joe which tasted surprisingly sweet and it was the same price as the pastrami but 1/2 the size. Also with this sandwich I got 3 strawberries with a side of whipped cream and was charged an extra $2.79 Love this place but will stick to to larger bread sandwiches!! UPDATE 7/5/24 Regular club was delicious and the multigrain bread gave it a bit of a sweet flavor which made it savory/sweet ❤️❤️❤️ Strawberry cheesecake tasted awesome but I only got 3 small slices of strawberry. I don't think l'd order again. The pictures make the portion sizes look way bigger than what you're getting. Here I used a nickel for scale. I don't think the Italian Pasta Salad and American Potato Salad are made fresh it's hard to tell, the potatoes have the quality of grocery store potato salad (grainy, waterlogged taste). The pasta has the texture of grocery store pasta salad (gummy, feels like chewing gum and hard to swallow??) and tastes SO bland, they should toss more dressing in there (if it's house made). Definitely would never pay $6 for this sorry Breakfast Sammy though. Everything needs salt. EVERYTHING was bland!! The photos on their site/doordash are extremely deceiving. Y’all must’ve hired a great photographer😂 These prices for low quality and small portions just aren't doing it for me! Not only was my tuna melt sandwich the best from ANY other Jason's Deli's, it was the BEST tuna sandwich I've ever had!! I have never had a tuna melt sandwich where the cheese was completely melted and that made it sooo much better. I have eaten tuna melt sandwiches from JD's in TX, FL, SC, MO and here in NC. Pensacola FL JD was my 1st time ever at a JD and it was so incredibly delicious I never thought it would be topped but today, 10Oct2020 it has been beaten by the JD in Cary. The staff was jovial and genuinely kind. The restaurant was incredibly clean, well lit and very comfortable. I have to specifically mention the fountain soda machine because they are so frequently used that keeping them clean and/or spotless is almost impossible but my visit today also proved that theory wrong, it was exceptionally clean and clearly well maintained. I told the manager how impressed I was with my ENTIRE visit and he would take NO credit, telling me Cara(I think) made my sandwich and someone else had made the tuna, told me the general managers name and was incredibly professional and thankful for my comments, a very humble leader(which is hard to find anymore).
