Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Cary

We called on Thursday February 23rd to place a catering order for our son's birthday party on Saturday February 25th. We specifically requested delivery no later than 11:15 a.m. which was confirmed and reiterated multiple times. Once again specified that this was a timed party that was over at noon so the food needed to arrive no later than 11:15.

We called the store at quarter to 11:00 day of to confirm the food would be delivered within the next half hour and we were told that there was no delivery driver the food had not been started and it would be later than the 11:15 deadline. We not only prepaid for the entire order but also the delivery fee and tip for the delivery driver.

My husband left the party to go pick up the food himself being they kept saying they had no driver, despite us placing a catering delivery ahead of time. When he arrived at the store at 11:15 our order was just being placed in the oven. By the time he was given our food the party was pretty much over and we could not stay on the location to eat as another party was coming in. This absolutely ruined the party because there was no food, and because we came so far from home it wasn't practical to just invite 20 people over to eat there.

My husband was told that they would try to apply a discount/refund at some point over the next few days but there was nothing that could be done at that time and because he wanted to be back to at least sing happy birthday he couldn't stand there and argue.

I ordered 2 pizzas and a salad. With the pizza's I ordered extra pizza sauce and once again, it didn't come, a lot like the last 2 times. For the salad, it was unbelievable that someone would actually put that mess into a container to sell, the onions were dry and shriveled, the lettuce was brown and slimy, the banana peppers were actually so dry they were crispy, and the container of this crap was not even 1/2 way filled, so thanks I think? The quality at this location has consistently gone down since Covid. Our regular location closed and this one picked up the slack but now, now I will just spend the extra money and go to Rosati's. The last 2 times I called to complain I was told no manager is available on the weekends, how is that even possible! A worker I spoke to mentioned he was brand new, only a few days trained and then abandoned there to deal with stuff above his pay grade!? We will NO LONGER go to this Marco's and I will be posting this review on the Google with pictures of the salad as well.

I will say this, bless those folks left working there with no guidance, I hope you give each and everyone of them a bonus and a raise when they are willing to show up on weekends when their own management won't!

I ordered 2 pizzas online yesterday and specified that I would be paying by cash. I arrived to pick up my pizza and was not greeted right away but there were only 2 employees there. The young lady that waited on me was polite and friendly and took my money to pay for the order. As I was paying a middle aged Indian lady was walking in through the kitchen area and looked at me and my daughter with her nose in the air without speaking. After she spoke to the other employee who was Indian as well in their language she came to the register like she was guarding it(Really). After I took a seat while waiting for my food she was just standing there staring at me as if she never saw a black person before and when I caught her doing it she gave a fake half grin. I was speaking to my daughter and said that we would not be returning to this Marco's again. She then asked with a very nasty attitude if there was a problem and I told her that it was. I come in her and I was not greeted and she was staring at me like we didn't belong there. I told her my last experience was not like this and I wouldn't be back. She just looked at me with a "I don't care if you come back" look. Based on your most recent bad reviews I'm not the only one not coming back and I see why with...
