Here's a description of my experience at this place. If you want a fast description, then maybe scroll to a shorter comment or go to the very bottom of this comment where I give my overall rating, but I like to be as fair and thorough as possible while maintaining concision. I'm not a food/restaurant expert but here's my experience. Today is a rainy day and I thought about reading something while also experiencing the rain as I sip on some Thai tea boba with an egg and cheese croissant on the side. As I entered the place, it gave me a reminiscent place from a movie where people would have their breakfast as they would chat. The place was pretty empty and after ordering my food and drink, people would come in at regular intervals to which donuts were the most popular orders. The customers seemed to be busy and the place gave off a fast food vibe, unlike my expectation of it being a place where you were to sip, read and think like in a poem. On the other side of the counters, the workers were very friendly to me and the other customers that came and went. As far as the workers' relationships with each other, they seemed to be very quiet and not a lot of chit chats like Starbucks and/or dutch bros. There are obviously pros and cons with this but take it as you'd like. The workers seemed to be friendly and always doing something productive on the one hand. As I sat down to eat my food, the croissant was so good and heated pretty well and definitely complemented the cold Thai tea boba that was smooth and sweet. Perhaps I came here expecting to read poems but I didn't like the fact that the tables were kind of unkempt as I saw crumbs on them from previous customers. As to how long they had been there, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the food, drink and scene of the rain through the glass walls, which I'm a big fan of. There were lots of visuals inside this sit down place and definitely these posters were entertaining to the eyes almost like a classroom. I did see a sign though that there is no bathroom to use inside, which kind of sucks. Perhaps this is due to decisions of the owner as I vaguely remember there having been a bathroom to use here in the past. Whatever the reason may be, it sucks. I don't personally know the owner but I've heard a few things about him being arrogant and mean to his employees. I also noticed that all of the workers were females. I'm not sure if there's anything that goes into that either, perhaps he's biased in that way, I'm not sure. As far as ratings go, I'd give the food and drink 5 stars with customer service being 5 stars, from the stories about the owners, I'd give 2 stars since I believe that owners should be respectful and it just seems that his restaurant's food and customer service are not reflective of him, unlike his rules on there being a requirement of ice in the drinks and the no bathroom policy. The scenery is 5 stars and cleanliness is 3 stars due to crumbs on the table with no one cleaning them along with the absence of hand sanitizers around. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars and would come again...
Read moreThey’re stealing and charging customers for caramel syrup drizzle for 50 cents without telling them (or asking if they want the extra Caramel, and disclosing the price) every time they order a sea salt caramel iced coffee (amongst other items they can hide additional charges in I’m sure). So if you order anything from Bosa in Casa Grande, perhaps break down what it’s costing you (their receipts don’t state what you’re being charged for either-It only shows total and doesn’t give an item or price breakdown (they use Square merchant services and could absolutely provide customers with an item/price breakdown on receipts, but don’t -Hmm wonder why?) I happened to catch them charging me extra at the register, I caught it because one of the employees walked up to the trainee at the register and -made sure- she charged me an extra 50 cents by adding it to my total and saying nothing. Had I been -asked- if I wanted a caramel drizzle in my cup for 50 additional cents, I would’ve made that decision on my own, it should not be upto the merchant, who is adding it to every coffee and deciding for customers and charging them like that’s an ‘A-Okay’ thing to do. It’s STEALING and misleading. If a large iced coffee is $3.99 on their menu, I should be charged $3.99 (not including taxes) instead they’re charging $4.49 (not including taxes) and saying not a word to anyone-There is no signage that sea salt caramel iced coffees come with caramel in the cup and that it’s an additional 50 cents , and again- It’s not shown on receipts. I would’ve went on with my day and not left a review, Had the employees and owner cared even in the slightest. Instead their excuse was ‘yeah, we have always done that’ -That doesn’t mean it’s right! When I confronted them on the extra charge, they looked at me as if it was a ‘normal’ thing to do and when I suggested that a price change should be applied on their menu to reflect what they’re charging their customers regardless if they want it or not, they just stared at me and said nothing. Would not be surprised for what else they may be taking from customers, the little charges here and there really add up and that’s a shady way to operate a business. It is 100% STEALING. Really...
Read moreJust writing an update here. I moved to Casa Grande 2 years ago, during the mask mandate, and had a medical condition and could not wear a mask (mayor of city allowed no masks for medical issues), and when I walked into Bosa's donuts without a mask, the gal behind the desk was extremely rude and refused to sell me donuts because I was not wearing a mask, and cared less about my "exemption." I went back again, a week later, to buy a coffee, without a mask, and one of the female workers from the back came out screaming at me to put on a mask. A male employee behind the desk, who was waiting on me, did not have on his mask (it was hanging off his face, down around his neck), and I told that screaming woman that I will put on a mask when her own employee puts it on. She sputtered and shut up, throwing me dagger looks. What happened to being courteous to customers? If their policy was weating masks and no exceptions, there is a way to relay that to a customer nicely without being rude or screaming at them. I never went back to their place of business due to the two horrible episodes of being treated like a "dog" by the employees (one seemed to be the owner). I still have not returned to buy donuts at their shop, and it has been 2 years later, and never will, nor will my family. I owned businesses in the past, and I would never, ever talk to a customer the way they talked to me, because I know that "you get back what you give out"... A business that does not show respect to the very ones who pay their bills (buy their products) should not be...
