My recent visit to "Little shop of burgers " turned out to be an absolute disaster that left a lasting impression of disappointment and disgust. I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience to spare others from enduring the same agony.
Let's begin with the ambiance—or lack thereof. As soon as I stepped inside, I was hit with an overpowering stench that lingered in the air. The entire place had a grimy feel to it, with greasy fingerprints on the walls and tables that clearly hadn't been wiped in ages. It was enough to make my stomach churn even before I took a bite of anything.
The service matched the deplorable atmosphere perfectly. The staff seemed completely disorganized and overwhelmed, resulting in long wait times and frustrated customers. My order was mixed up not once, but twice, leading to further delays and a complete lack of confidence in the staff's competence. Their indifference and lack of professionalism only added to my growing disappointment.
Now, let's move on to the main event—the food, or what can loosely be called food. The burgers were an utter disgrace. The patties were clearly made from low-quality meat, overcooked to the point of resembling charcoal briquettes. The taste was nothing short of repulsive, with a strange combination of burnt and rancid flavors assaulting my palate. It was as if the kitchen had no regard for basic cooking principles or customer satisfaction.
To add insult to injury, the buns were stale and crumbly, falling apart with each bite. The toppings were sparse and lacking freshness, as if they had been sitting out for hours on end. Even the supposedly "special sauce" couldn't mask the disaster that was unfolding on my plate. It was a sorry excuse for a burger, and I couldn't fathom how anyone could proudly serve such abysmal fare.
As for the side dishes, they were equally appalling. The fries were limp, undercooked, and drenched in oil, leaving a greasy film on my fingers. It was like they had been lazily thrown into the fryer without any care or attention. The so-called "onion rings" were a soggy mess, devoid of any crunch or flavor. It was clear that quality and consistency were foreign concepts to the "Little shop of burgers "
Last but not least, the prices were outrageously high for the dismal quality of food and service provided. It felt like a cruel joke to pay a premium for an experience that was nothing short of a culinary nightmare. I left the restaurant feeling not only physically nauseated but also deeply regretful of wasting my time and money on such an abhorrent establishment.
In conclusion, "Little shop of burgers " is a place that should be avoided at all costs. From the nauseating ambiance and inept service to the revolting food, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of a decent dining experience. Spare yourself the agony and seek out a reputable establishment that takes pride in delivering quality food and service to...
Read moreCame in and got seated way off in a corner where, apparently, nobody could see us, because it took 20-30 minutes before anybody came to check on us and get our order of drinks or food and there were barely any other patrons in the restaurant. One of the wait staff came and checked on people a couple tables away from us, but not us. Had to sit with my hand up for a few minutes to be noticed.
Got our order put in and took about 20 minutes to get our food, which was expected. When we got the food it was rather greasy, to the point where parts of the bun on my burger were soaked and soggy and there was quite a bit accumulated on the paper in the tray.
Overall, the wait time was horrible, the food was okay but very greasy, and the experience was not worth it. At least our server was nice, though, but we're not coming back after this experience.
Edit for response: We got to the restaurant around 6:15-6:20. Didn't get a server to take our orders until around 6:40-6:45, and that was only AFTER I had my hand held up like I was back in grade school, waiting for the teacher to call on me. Food wasn't great and very greasy, as I said. We were there for over an hour, and more than half of that was spent waiting. And, yes, we were upset that we couldn't use both gift certificates in one transaction, but we were unhappy with service prior to finding that out, and we would have been fine coming back to use the other one, at a later date, but we had already come to the conclusion that the experience wasn't worth another trip. I didn't bring up the gift certificates in my original review because it wasn't even the biggest issue we had. I'm not "throwing a temper tantrum." Just reviewing based on our...
Read moreLooking for a great burger with a unique atmosphere? This is your place. My wife and I ate here while we were in Casper for a concert. It's relatively close to the Casper Events Center and really easy to find. We were greeted promptly when we walked in the door, even though the waitress was attending to a table, and didn't wait long to be seated. We were treated to a table in the movie room, where we got to watch a screening of Silence of the Lambs.
We ordered the Munster Fries as an appetizer and I will tell you the vampires will not be bothering us for a while. These things are coated in garlic and parmesan and are delicious. They are literally "dripping" with flavor. Just know that you will be smelling garlic on your breath for the rest of the evening and you may want to avoid tight quarters with other people for a while. :)
I ordered the Freddy burger, cooked to medium and it came out perfect. It had a nice char-grilled flavor, was seasoned perfectly and the fresh jalapeños were piled on top. REALLY good if you like a little spice on your burger and the fresh cut fries on the side were the perfect addition.
My wife ordered the Fungus Among Us burger and really liked it as well. She had the sweet potato fries as her side.
We would definitely eat here again. The staff was friendly and attentive, the horror theme was cool, but not over the top and the food was outstanding. Great little place to eat if you're in Casper and looking for something that's not your standard national chain style restaurant. Give it a try, you won't regret it and you won't...
