I was staying at the hotel in which this restaurant is located. I looked it up online and they had a menu. I went to the restaurant the 2nd evening that I was staying at the hotel. The restaurant says that it opens at 4:00. I arrived at 6:55 to be told that they still hadn't started the kitchen. I knew they had a very limited menu and I knew that I wanted the steak that came with the baked potato but since the kitchen had just opened I inquired whether the baked potatoes were available and they told me that only the breakfast hash brown type potatoes were available. I decided I did not want to spend $55 with something that I didn't have a choice on so I ate somewhere else for dinner. I came back to the hotel later that night after dinner and decided that I had a munchie and called the kitchen and asked if they were still doing appetizers. They insured me that they were. I ordered a simple Capese which is tomatoes basil mozzarella cheese and some bread. They told me that it would be about 15 minutes. I went down after 20 minutes. Then I waited another 10 minutes and then my Capese was finally brought out after 30 minutes! I went back to my room with my Caprese. Opened it up and there was no bread! I then went back to the restaurant. They gave me the hardest bread that I have ever had in my entire life! I swear I could have broken a tooth! 40 minutes later I had my Capese... bread tomato basil and mozzarella cheese...I know...first world problems...but damn! And I'm pretty sure half the reviews are AI...

Read moreOkay, I'll start with the glowing review because that's what counts. Fantastic food, truly. Price was also great. You may wait a bit (compared to say a chophouse, this is more fine casual speed), but we were well attended to. We had a party of several and ordered 7 things to split. It's hard to find food this inspired outside of a Denver/Chicago sized city. Normally, I'd be writing a bad review saying the chicken needs to be trimmed before frying the wings, but... My God, it was fried to absolute crispy perfection and left me questioning my own training. Poke was also fantastic, the marinated cucumbers were a chef's kiss.
Drinks were fantastic; best old fashioned I've had in ages (and it was with well!).
Now for the one thing... Chef, if you read, your wait staff seem afraid to ask the kitchen for custom requests. Dessert to go? Afraid you wouldn't ever let it leave the kitchen in a box. Split sauce wing order? Not gonna even consider it. I get it, I've worked in fine dining as a sous chef. BUT, even we boxed up in the kitchen. French Laundry boxes up to go (with a sigh, but...). Your food and presentation speaks for itself as is. It's not a casket, it's a luxury airliner of...
