After attending a friends funeral, we decided it was too late to go home and cook a full-blown meal. So on our way home we decided to stop by and get something and take home. There was a few cars ahead of us and as they were getting to the pick up window, they were instructed to go park in parking spaces and tell they have their food brought out to them. When we got to the window, we were also instructed to pull into a parking space and wait. I asked them why are they having everybody park somewhere, we are in a drive-through? They said cars can only sit at the window a certain amount of time and then they get in trouble if they are there longer than that because it ruins their drive-through times. So I replied so you are cheating the system so you donât get in trouble at the expense of the customer, and you guys look good to the higher ups? And they said, yeah, with a giggle. In which my final reply was why donât they try doing their job correctly and efficiently and they wouldnât have to cheat to stay out of trouble? They shrugged their shoulders and closed the window. We watched 11 cars do the same thing. They had to drive around the building and park in different parking spots to wait for their food. When we got our food, we didnât get everything that we ordered and the guy was pretty put out that he had to go back in and get us the rest of our meal. Highly unimpressed at 6:45 on June 9, which was a Friday night. You would think that they would be set up to be rocking that food right out the door, but they were...
Read moreVisited the drive thru today and was asked to wait past the second window for someone to bring our order out to our vehicle because we were in an RV that had height restrictions for the Drive Thru. So I along with my wife and two young girls waited for 10-15 minutes and no one brought our order out. I walked up to the window to ask when someone would be bringing out our order. The person working the window said that he did not know that we were waiting, yet he had our order sitting in front of him in the bags. As he explained, the manager KC came over and said how was he supposed to know that we were waiting for the order. I said that the person at the first window told us to wait past the window and this is how he should have known. She said this is not his fault. I said that it seems that their is a communication problem and she was quick to say that, well let me just give you your money back. Well now not only is KC upsetting me,but also my two girls that were expecting their Happy Meals. I said that this is not the proper way to handle this as a Manager and she was quick to say âWe do millions of dollars in business and losing yours wonât matterâ. I replied that corporate will probably disagree and this is when she said, my name is KC (FYI- she was not wearing a name tag or a Mask to support COVID restaurant protocol for that matter along with most employees working inside). Well along I left with a disappointing experience. I have been managing a Billion $ Franchise organization for years and this was very...
Read moreMost bizarre experience I have ever had at a fast-food restaurant. I order 3 simple menu items, pay at the 1st window w/ credit card and am not given a receipt. Not the 1st time I haven't been given a receipt at a McD's, that's fine no need to waste the paper. At the second window I am told to wait in parking spot #2 because they are waiting on food. Pretty normal up to this point. I wait 20 minutes while those around me get their food brought out to them, I would estimate 30 other vehicles have gone through at this point. I am asked 3 separate times what my order is again by multiple employees running food out to customers. The 3rd time I am asked for my receipt, which I explain I was not given at the 1st window when I paid. The employee says that's fine and goes back in the building. I wait 10 more minutes and flag the employee down as they are bringing out someone else's food yet again. I ask her if my order will be ready soon. Her response is, and I kid you not, "My boss says you didn't order". Then, as I am trying to reason with her for a solution to this issue, she walks away while I am talking. At this point I am frustrated and see no other option than to just leave, after all what do you say to "You didn't order" when I clearly did. Get home, check my pending credit card charges, and right there at the top is the charge for my order. I will be disputing this charge and will not visit this...
