As I walked into the Sourdough Bread House , little did I know that I was about to be swept away on a sumptuous gastronomic journey. The food was not just delicious – it was an experience, wholesome and indulgent, with each bite carrying me through an exquisite blend of flavors and textures.

We had the pleasure of ordering the Turkish breakfast, and what a splendid array it was! The eggs, sunny side up, were perfectly cooked, accompanied by creamy avocado slices. A sensational spread of cheeses left us in awe with their rich and varied tastes. Tahini and molasses offered a delightful, earthy sweetness while the sour cherry jam was a tart revelation. We also indulged in Nutella, olives, Zahter, butter, kaymak, and a delectable combination of apricots and walnuts.

However, the star of the show was the freshly baked sourdough bread. Its aroma wafted through the air as we tore into the crusty exterior to reveal the pillowy interior. The bread's taste and texture were sheer perfection, and it elevated the entire breakfast experience.

As if that wasn’t enough, we delved into the Menemen with soujuk, a traditional Turkish dish with eggs, tomatoes, and spices. It was absolutely to die for. The balance of flavors was impeccable, with the spiciness of the soujuk complementing the mellow richness of the eggs.

The tea we sipped was delightful – rich and aromatic, it provided the perfect respite and balance amidst the spread of vibrant flavors.

The sheer variety, freshness, and taste of the food exceeded my already high expectations. There was an undeniable charm in the experience, akin to enjoying a country breakfast in nature, but in the heart of the city.

I also decided to explore the dessert menu and found myself ordering 2 pieces of lavender cake for to go . This was a first for me, and it was nothing short of a revelation. The cake was soft, moist, and the delicate flavor of lavender made it an unforgettable treat.

An added bonus was the discovery that the café offers sourdough bread for sale. I'm already looking forward to ordering custom-made bread for my next visit.

The ambiance within the restaurant was just as delightful as the food. It was spacious and immaculately clean, with an inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for brunch, family gatherings, or a leisurely coffee and tea session with friends.

In conclusion, our visit to the Sourdough Bread House was nothing short of phenomenal. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of culinary artistry. This place undoubtedly serves the best breakfast and bread in the entire state. I am eagerly awaiting my next Orlando vacation to relish more of the treasures that their menu holds.

I recently visited a lunch place that offered a delightful Turkish breakfast and lunch experience, complete with traditional Turkish coffee and a sweet treat called lukum. While my son thoroughly enjoyed his pancakes and yogurt with berries, there were a few aspects of our visit that left us feeling disappointed.

The menu at this establishment boasted a variety of authentic Turkish dishes, and we were particularly excited to try their breakfast options. My son's pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the yogurt with berries was fresh and flavorful. The Turkish coffee was a wonderful addition, providing a rich and aromatic experience that perfectly complemented our meal. The lukum, a traditional Turkish sweet, was a delightful way to end our lunch on a sweet note.

However, there were a few areas where the service fell short. Firstly, our server never checked on us throughout the meal, which made it difficult to address any concerns or request additional items. We also found it disappointing that the server did not explain that we needed to pay at the front counter, resulting in some confusion when it came time to settle the bill.

To our surprise, when we received our receipt after paying, we noticed that all the prices were $1.50 higher than what was listed on the menu. While this may not seem like a significant amount, it left us feeling somewhat cheated and disappointed. It would have been more transparent and professional for the establishment to inform customers of any price discrepancies prior to payment.

Despite these shortcomings, the experience at this lunch place was still enjoyable overall. The Turkish breakfast and lunch options were delicious, and the inclusion of traditional Turkish coffee and lukum added a unique and authentic touch. However, I would recommend that the establishment improves their service by regularly checking on customers, providing clear payment instructions, and ensuring that menu prices match...

A Culinary Journey Across America: From New York to New Orleans

As I embarked on my journey, anticipation and curiosity filled my mind. From the bustling streets of New York to the serene suburbs of New Jersey, the enchanting world of Orlando, and the vibrant streets of New Orleans, I had planned a voyage that promised to be filled with discovery. Among the many remarkable stops along the way, none left as indelible a mark as Sourdough Bread House, Erhan Bey's bakery.

Located at 5761 S US Hwy 17 92 Suite #1021, Casselberry, FL 32707, this unique bakery captivated me with its Turkish bread and breakfast offerings. Upon stepping inside, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and warm hospitality. Erhan Bey's genuine warmth and hospitality immediately made me feel at home.

The atmosphere inside the bakery was not only filled with the aroma of delicious treats but also with a vibrant tapestry of Turkish culture. An array of Turkish breads and pastries adorned the counter, delighting my senses. The expertly crafted delicacies left an unforgettable taste on my palate.

The breakfast menu boasted an assortment of cheeses, olives, and jams, reflecting the richness of Turkish breakfast tradition. When paired with warm simit bread and freshly brewed tea, the breakfast experience reached its zenith.

My time at Erhan Bey's bakery was not just a breakfast experience; it was a cultural journey. The richness and hospitality of Turkish cuisine left an indelible impression on me. If your travels ever lead you to Florida, a visit to Sourdough Bread House, Erhan Bey's bakery, is a must. The delectable experience awaiting you here will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of...

I’d give this a 2.9 if I could. It’s not a 2 but my experience wasn’t quite a 3 when you factor in the price. Ordered the Menemen with Soudjouk (eggs scrambled with cheese, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and Turkish sausage with a side of sourdough bread w/ butter and blueberry jam. Also ordered a Belgian waffle on the side. The sourdough toast was excellent and gets a 4.5. The egg scramble was ok but frankly not enough egg for the amount of veggies. It was more like eating a pile of sautéed veggies with a few bites of egg and cheese. The Belgian waffle, which cost $9.50, was lukewarm with zero crispness to the edges. Very meh, especially for the price. Suspect it was reheated. Service. It was ok mostly but they did not bring my water until I asked about it a few minutes after the waffle had been dropped off on the table (with no offering of syrup). Had to ask for syrup as well, which oddly was served chilled right out of a fridge. Last thing I want to drizzle over an already lukewarm, uncrispy waffle (I paid $10 for) is chilled syrup. If you want to buy a nice loaf of sourdough bread, or perhaps order a traditional breakfast of two eggs, bacon or sausage and toast, this place works. Otherwise, I’d go somewhere else if I were you. It’s not awful, but for what you pay, it’s not great either. Food quality would be fine if not for lack of execution. Pretty disappointing for a $30 breakfast. I’d have been happier with a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit from McDonalds.
