I love Popeyes. It’s always been a favorite for chicken and I was so excited when they opened a few years back. However, the Casselberry location is consistently a disappointment. I keep trying every few months or so, hoping things have improved but tonight was another fail. The wait is always long, the employees are always unprofessional and unpleasant and the meal is always sub-par. I ordered a 3 piece tender meal and an apple pie. Well, they were out of apple pie, as usual, and I was told there would be a wait for it so I said never mind. I should have kept it on the order anyway considering the amount of time it took from ordering the food to get to the window to pay and pick up. There was more than enough time to make at least two batches by the time I got to the window. I live around the corner and once I got home with my food, it was cold. I’m not expecting piping hot food from take out, but I would at least expect it to be warm. The 3 tenders were more like the size of nuggets, the biscuit was missing from the meal, and the portion of red beans and rice is considerably smaller. Beans and rice… it doesn’t get any cheaper for a side item and they’re going to skimp on that?? The soda that came with the meal was completely watered down and flat. I’m not expecting gourmet, but for over $14 for the meal, I was at least expecting a biscuit and not to still be hungry when I finished. Read moreIf we could give 0 stars, we would! A couple of hours ago, my husband and I ordered a family meal online to pick up at the store. When my husband arrived to the store, the doors were locked and had to pick up the order going by the drive through (waiting approximately 15 min). Once it was his turn, the employee at the window said she couldn't find the order in the system. She then proceeded to get the manager. The manager then told my husband that the order was already picked up by someone else with the same name. My husband then offered to show him the online receipt and the bank transaction as proof that it wasn't him who picked up the order. Manager told him that he wouldn't do anything about it and that if my husband wanted the order, he had to pay for it AGAIN. No other options given. Excuse me, but why do we have to pay A SECOND TIME for an order that we never got in the first place because the employee handing out the food didn't even bother to double check name and order number? Manager also said that any issues with the online orders have to be take up with corporate and not the location as they are a franchise and don't have control over what happens with those transactions (even though the bank transaction clearly showed that the funds were going directly to his store).
