I used to go here every morning to order my favorite drink in the whole world, a venti cup of ice water with 3 scoops of matcha. It was the only one in the vicinity of my job. Well first, at any Starbucks, I was paying $0.86, then it went up to $1 something, that was fine. Then they started charging $2.87, but always an issue over them adding $0.80 more for the matcha because they said that it was considered a custom tea. Ok whatever.... I'm not paying over $3 for water with $0.80 worth of matcha in it. But I will pay for a custom tea... ok fair. But EVERYDAY I ask for my custom tea to be shaken in a shaker because EVERYDAY I would go to drink my matcha and I would literally swallow clumps of the powder!! They would just stir it. Then when I would ask for them to shake it, I was told they weren't allowed to. Like really??!! How silly!! Well see if anyone of you guys want to drink clumps of powder??! This is my most favorite drink, and I don't drink coffee but the matcha was causing my stomach to cramp up. And it made me sad to feel like I should just give up my little piece of heaven in a cup. Plus it's good for me.. As I addressed my concerns over all of this I was comped a few gift cards and promises to do better. Still I would get clumps and they still wouldn't shake it in the shaker most days. And so be it that I wasn't going to be late for work arguing with the staff everyday, I stop spending my money there and getting sick. So fast forward about 6 months later I go back. Twice. I asked for my regular drink add cream. I thought it to be gentler on my stomach and maybe even prompt a shake in the shaker. They shook it this time but they charged me $3.87+ 0.80 which I tried to argue the price jack for water, matcha and cream. In which I was told the price goes up like that often. And on top of that, they gave me spoiled cream!! The first time I was hard to decipher if the cream and the matcha were not working well together but the second day I went back, the cream was definitely spoiled!! I was livid!! I had to leave work to take it back to get my money!! I'm never rude and I always ask with love and respect. But this store ruined the experience with my favorite drink that I love to drink so much everyday. I'm still...
Read moreI was going to mobile order but my parents and I were close enough to just order in person. Instead of drive thru, we went inside. There was only one other guest there. The cashier (Joel) was not able to hear us through our masks and I had to repeat myself a few times, although I did my best to give my order loud and clear. He said he couldn't hear because of the Disney music playing. At that point, lower the music or tell your team/supervisor so you can fully hear the order and own that customer experience. I was trying to be patient and understanding and I get we're all wearing masks, but as a former Starbucks barista, I would've taken action to correct the issue instead of making the guest repeat themselves numerous times.
After placing three frappuccino orders, two with no customization and one with minor changes, we had to wait about 10 minutes for our drinks. There were a total of six Starbucks employees working the stations, and two were doing training. There were a few guests in the drive thru, and the two completing training decided to use our drinks to practice.
This process took a long time. They should be practicing with drinks the trainer comes up with and not the guest's drinks if there's only us waiting in the lobby. I've trained other new hires on a variety of combinations because there's thousands to choose from. Another solution to this would be for the cashier or the two baristas to ask, "Hey, we're training and would love to practice using your drinks. Do you mind if we need a few extra minutes to make them for you?" I would've gladly said yes.
One of the four baristas handling drive thru said, "Sorry, we're training," and that's great, but why not train with drive thru drinks instead so the guests also in front of them can have quick service? I know they value drive thru completion times, but it's still important to value the lobby guests, especially when there's so few these days.
I'm really disappointed in my experience and hope the music volume and training will be kept in mind to improve the guest experience. Small things like this matter when you're delivering Starbucks'...
Read moreThis Starbucks is now in my daily route, and I was excited for it until I visited the first time, and my order was screwed up
As my experience with Starbucks dictated I assumed this was a fluke, so I went to the same store a few days later, this time they didn't have the double bacon sandwich I wanted so I decided to try their incredible sandwich as recommended by the barista helping me. Disappointment followed as the sandwich was frozen in the center.
On my next visit was my pumpkin cream cold brew. This time, I asked the barista to fix the coffee for me, and she dumped half the coffee and added pumpkin cream to the top. Now, this was a venti cup, so I had about four fingers worth of cream....:-( I realized later that she took offense, and that is why now she gave me so much cream.... retrospectively, I should have asked her to fix it one more time....
On my last visit, as I have done every single time I have been there, I walked into the store, then I ordered a venti pumpkin cream cold brewd, an order of bacon sous vide eggs and a bacon gouda egg sandwich. 5 minutes later, the barista finished my coffee and called my name, but 12 minutes later, I was still waiting for the rest of my order. It turns out that they had put my order on the counter for the window service, and they were saying there all that time getting cold. I was so upset that I had just waited that long that I just grabbed the items and left the store.
At this point, I realize these bad orders are not a fluke; six orders with problems out of six orders is a big problem. This store needs to have a manager review their process, their order preparation for uniformity and consistency.
The location is most convenient for me, but I think I may not be going back to this location for a long while...
I will have to go...
