I LOVE my Black Rock coffee spot! Waaaaaay better than Starbucks and Dutch Bros!
Drinks are always boooooooomb! I would suggest my personal creation which is the "Caramel Blondie w/ 4 pumps of cherry syrup and two pumps of banana syrup. I call that the Cherry Blondie.
Service: I have been coming to BR for about a year now and I have NEVER had an issue with this company / location. Scott, and Kevin have ALWAYS been so amaaaziiiing! They treat me more than just a number. They treat me like as though we are friends. They ask about my family, my job AND retain what I tell them meaning. When they ask about my job and I tell them what I am doing, they ask me about it the next time I see them. They go above and beyond customer service for sure.
Drinks: BR may have the same drinks, but they do bring out quite the selection for the seasons! Best part is that they use coffee in there drinks. I have not seen SB or DB use actual coffee in their drinks. It's always the mix of mocha and caramel together to get the "coffee" taste.
Location: Really great spot to be right on the corner of the Outlet shopping area. Easy access to get to and the lines are ALWAYS moving fast!
Aftermath: The wife and I have made Black Rock coffee house our new coffee spot. We love the customer service and the taste of the drinks! I highly recommend this place if...
Read moreI honestly wish this could be 5 stars. This is one of our favorite places to go. We have been going by once a week since they opened. Their drinks are amazing, the coffee is great and usually, the service is fantastic. Unfortunately our last experience was not great. If it had been our first, we wouldn't be coming back. We went by for one of their special $3 chiller promotions. While it's understandable that they ran out of the ingredients for a special drink, it is surprising to me that they did not offer a comparable drink for the same price. Instead, it felt like a bait and switch. Rather than spending $9, the tab was $17. To top it off, when they did give us our drinks, they told us the wrong ones. When I questioned it, they said they simply said them wrong but we had our drinks and were good to go. I understand the stress of food service and I tend to be pretty understanding. I leave gratuity each time we go through, but this time it didn't feel warranted. I'm sure that we'll go again. We do love the coffee here and this isn't the usual experience, but unfortunately it made a greater impression than the dozens of positive ones...
Read moreI used to really enjoy going to Black Rock Coffee — the baristas were friendly, the service was efficient, and it felt like a great local spot. Unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill lately. Now, with the push toward app ordering, the personal touch is gone. I regularly place my order, drive 10 minutes to the store, and then end up waiting an additional 20–30 minutes for my drink — even when the place isn’t busy. I have arrived at BR and waited for someone to acknowledge me and just went ahead and placed an app order all while waiting for the staff.
Worse, I often stand at the counter for 5+ minutes before anyone even acknowledges me. It’s frustrating, especially when staff are right there but don’t say a word. On top of that, they still charge for alternative milk (even Starbucks and Dutch Bros have dropped those charges), and today my XL drink was only about 2/3 full. To top it off, the espresso is frequently burnt, which makes the drinks bitter and unpleasant.
I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, but once I use up the rewards from their newly revamped loyalty system, I don’t see myself...
