I can’t sing enough praises to Cleo our server and Kaley the manager.
I’m sorry it’s been a few weeks but I told you I’d get it.
Right off the bat I thought this had to be a new restaurant because of the condition it was in. Down to the recipe cards hanging in the back above the line. (I’m also a restaurant manager so I notice little things when I’m out, which is why I was so impressed with the entire experience!)
The tables, the employees uniforms, the menus, the floors, everything was ordered and spotless.
Everyone was happy and pleasant, helping each other.
Which from my experience I know only happens when you have quality leadership.
Then Cleo our server blew me and my entire family away (14 of us)
Not only was she on top of every refill, treated as if we were her only table even though it was a packed Sunday, and got us every little thing we asked for, but she did it without writing anything down!
I was legitimately worried when my family started changing their mind, adding things out of order, jumping ahead of eachother etc… but she calmly took it all in.
We were betting eachother on whether or not she would get it all. I’ve been in the industry over 20yrs, and I can maybe take a 6 top with no paper or pen, and maybe an 8 if everyone has simple orders, but I’ve never seen anyone do that much with that many alterations and additions and changing their minds.
And I’m telling you every. Single. Thing. Was spot on.
AND the food was delicious!
I haven’t been to an ihop in over 20 years and I guess my view of it was just… not the best. This visit to this ihop has single handed changed my entire families views on that restaurant as a whole.
Great job Cleo!
And great job to the kitchen!
and the host was good too!
And great job Kaley, seeing you in the thick of it with your team, and everyone doing such a good job, I know, this does not happen on accident, and that you only get there through many many hours of hard work and follow through. So for yourSELF, please know, it is absolutely paying off.
I hope whoever needs to see this, does, and that you all are treated appropriately (financially and otherwise) for how well you’re...
Read moreThe manager that I just spoke to today in regards to a bad experience I had at your restaurant a few years ago even though I have proof in what I was saying to her she was very argumentative and basically was calling me a liar. She was not working there when I had the experience we both came to that conclusion. I have proof of what I told her and I went as far as reporting the cook to the tri county health department. They investigated my claim against the cook and a manager at the time. The general manager would give me a gift card to come back with an apology as well and they would still trash my food when i came back with friends. After the last time I never returned. My question to the manager was is that cook still working there because people I know wanted to go there and they invited me but I said not if that same cook is there. God knows I'm telling the truth about my bad experience at IHOP. Words to the manager learn how to repect people and listen to them. What that cook did to my food was wrong and one of the managers that was involved he was a male. God seen everything I went through, and I'm sure they got there karma back. They hated that I liked my food cooked a certain way and they would not respect my wishes. If it is the same owners. The general manager had a bad attitude as well. Be kind to people because at the end of the day karma is real. Let everyone listened to the recorded call that just happened, because I spoke my truth and I should get a real apology. THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING TO ME AND...
Read moreEvery Thursday night a myself and 10 others go out to eat. We no longer will be eating at Ihop because of the two consecutive bad experiences with the same server. Which is disappointing, because we love the food. About a month ago we came in at about 830, after waiting a couple minutes we were unpleasantly greeted by and older woman, our waitress, she began by letting us know she was the only person there, we assured her we weren't in a rush and we didn't mind waiting. (There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant at this time) She sat us. She wasnt friendly to us in the slightest, when taking our orders she would snap her fingers, sigh loudly, and constantly look around worriedly. We received our food, which was great, and she put a pitcher of water on the table for us, also very appreciated. But nothing made up for the terrible people skills and lack hospitality. It was uncomfortable to sit there and be treated like a complete inconvenience. Yesterday, we returned to Ihop, we were greater by the same woman. She approached us and said "We close in 45 minutes" at this time it was 854, an hour and 6 minutes to be exact. She continued saying "it's a small town you know? Village inn is the next exit though." So we left and tooI our business to village inn, which we were greeted with exceptional service. I really would love to return to Ihop because again, everything is great aside from the service on...
