Edit: the franchise owner got in touch with us and apologized profusely for the mistake and promised there'd be a follow up with his staff on this. He also promised us a free meal, delivered, free of charge. We got that meal today. The only thing was that the delivery guy didn't go to the back as described, but handed it off to the front. A minor thing, compared to the original issue. I'm happy the franchise owner seems to understand the severity of the issue and is taking action.
We've always had issues with this location, but up until today they've done a good job of making it right. My coworker and I ordered lunch around 2pm, got order confirmation, and then the out for delivery notification 5 minutes later. Awesome! Then an hour passes by with no additional update. My coworker checks the status and it says already delivered, which is odd. Nobody's come to the back door as requested, and nobody's gone to the front of the business to hand it off there, so we go look around. We find our food sitting on a TRASH CAN in the back of an entirely different business? To be clear, we have a giant sign on our back door with business name, address and "employees and deliveries only". My coworker works in that area and never left it. Jimmy John's had both our numbers, name of the business, nobody tried to contact us. We then call the store and ask to speak to a manager, which the person picking up says he is. We explain the situation and the person tells us he's the one who delivered it and he didn't know what to do, so setting it down on a trash can seemed logical. He makes absolutely no attempt to make it up to us. No refund, no "its on us next time", just, it's not their fault. I'm sorry, but this is just too much for me. Read moreI placed an order for delivery over the phone and they told me it would take 25 min which I was fine with. After 35 min I called back and they said it is made and the driver just left to take it to me. I said no problem, I live ten min away. After 25 more min I call back and the gentleman said the sandwich hadn't been delivered yet and that the driver would get it to me soon. I asked how much time it might take and he said another 25 min and then I verified that they had the right address written down and said that would be fine. After another 30 min I called back and asked to speak to a manager. The lady on the phone said she is one of them. I told her I have been waiting for over an hour for my order and I keep getting reassured it's coming, but I still haven't received it. She told me they are short staffed and only have one driver, but that they would get it out to me now. I told her she should have told me that when I ordered instead keep telling me it'll only be 25 more minutes and they failing to deliver it. She apologized and was going to leave it at that, but I asked if she would at least comp the food and she did. Read moreI normally don't leave reviews, but I feel like something needs to be said here. I went last week to this JJ's for a sandwich that I ordered online and went to pick up. Upon my arrival I saw that the line was almost out the door. It was the lunch hour after all. However, hat's not what the issue was. While I was waiting for my sandwich I witnessed one of the employees (who I assumed was a manager or team lead of some sort) completely belittle the poor woman who was ringing up orders right in front of the customers. The "manager" wasn't wearing a name badge, but she was wearing glasses and seemed to be the one in charge. The "manager" admittedly said out loud in front of everyone that she doesn't work well under pressure and that the cashier would need to figure it out herself, but said it in the most derogatory and disrespectful tone. That poor cashier looked humiliated and like she wanted to cry. And then when one of the customers asked the cashier if she was ok, the "manager" gave the customer the stink eye! When I finally got my sandwich (which was thrown together very sloppily btw), the "manager" basically threw it at me and didn't say a word.
