Dear Patrons of Parry's Pizza and Dave Parry, the owner, I would like everyone who visits the Castle Rock location of Parry's Pizza to know how the owner treats their employees. It is disgusting. Mark just got a call from the GM Geoff saying that per Dave he was supposed to wait until right before Mark would have been leaving for his shift tonight to let him know he no longer works there. Because Geoff isn't a total douche bag he's already called to let Mark know. Mark was essentially just fired for no other reason than Dave is pissed that he went down to two nights a week from full time. Why would Dave make such a disrespectful request you ask? Many of you know that Mark has been the bartender for around two years now. He was full time up until about 3 and a half months ago when he finally got tired of Dave never following through with any of his promises and chose to pursue a different career that would afford him the opportunity to take care of his expanding family in ways that Dave refused. At that time Mark went down to two nights a week. Dave, being the immature child that he is took this as a personal slight and has had it in for Mark ever since. What he doesn't seem to realize is all he had to do was pay Mark what he was worth and Mark would have been happy to stay. We were offered health insurance; never happened. Mark was offered management and the potential to be GM of his own store someday with a worthwhile salary; never happened. The list goes on and on. During Marks two plus years working at Parry's he has amassed quite the following of regulars who have by and large become our close friends. Many of whom cut back on their visits when Mark cut back on his hours and many of whom will stop visiting altogether now that Mark is officially gone. Say goodbye to that chunk of revenue Dave. (Dave has been boasting that the Castle Rock sales are up lately... I wonder if that has anything to do with the inflated new prices on the new menu...?) The unfortunate thing, besides the fact that we are now out that extra few hundred bucks every month, is that the food and beer selection are admittedly so good that people are willing to keep going to his restaurants even though the service has gone so far downhill that much of it resembles half trained monkeys dressed up as servers. I'm asking you, the people of Castle Rock, to show Dave that this kind of treatment to one of his best, (and most profitable,) employees is unacceptable. You can show him that with your wallets. Granelli's has awesome pizza too, you should try them out. Thanks for listening to this pregnant and pissed off wife, Lisa #ParrysPizza #ParryspizzaCastleRock #DaveParry...
Read moreWhat a joke this place was! My best friend and I went in for a late lunch (1pm) after some shopping. I had never been before and pizza sounded good. We walked in and the hostess was on the phone. Not once did she acknowledge us. No eye contact, no "one sec", she didn't even look over. After about 6 minutes, she snapped her fingers and started waving and pointing to a waitress who FINALLY acknowledged her and sat us. She literally took us to our seat, laid down the menus and silverware and walked away. We waited for 15 minutes and finally a waitress came over to let us know that Emma would be with us shortly. Another 5 or so minutes passed and the same waitress asked if she could get our drinks. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. 8 minutes after that (we set a timer), Emma came over (the same waitress that sat us, the same waitress we watched hang out at a bar table, the same waitress that had disappeared and went MIA for so long that another one of her tables got up to refill her own drinks. She took our order and dipped out again. The original waitress brought our app out to us. We munched and waited for our lunch as we watched the cooks in the back stuff their faces and jackass around. Finally Emma brought our food out- our cold, been sitting in the window, tasted like reheated leftover lunch. We never saw Emma again.... until the original waitress (who prebussed our table, refilled our drinks, asked how our food was, brought out our Togo box (for the app- the pizza wasn't worth taking home), brought our check, AND took our payment) told Emma that she had to run my card since it was under her. Emma did so and FINALLY brought back my signature slip. YALL!!! The original waitress wasn't even the waitress, she was the bartender who kept running around trying to make sure everything was getting done. As former waitresses and bartenders, my friend and I could TOTALLY empathize with a short staff and a full house- but there were 4 other tables aside from ours.... 4..... and we even looked at the patio to make sure we weren't missing a big party or something. NOPE. So, if you are interested in dirty silverware, cardboard pizza, servers that ghost you, and mediocre scenery- THIS YOUR PLACE! If you are wanting something more personable with good food and service, I totally suggest going...
Read moreThis is from our experience from August 23, 2025: My wife placed an online order via your website. Simple experience, and we were told our pickup time would be in 50 minutes. Fair, it's a Saturday night.
I arrive 55 minutes later, giving your team time to ensure my order was ready. I quickly realized by the line out the door that you were extremely busy. As I walk into your establishment, I ask another customer where the line for carry-out orders was and was told "good luck, it is a free-for-all." OK, so I walk up to the counter and wait. And wait. And wait. As multiple employees looked right at me and walked on past me. Some looked at me as they folded pizza boxes. I guess those pizza boxes are better paying customers. Finally, after standing there for over five minutes, an employee asked me if I had been helped. I let her know we had an online order and the name. They walk off. They walk past me multiple times but ensuring they didn't make eye contact. After five more minutes, they come up and tell me it would be another 25 minutes before my order would be ready. OK, so I walk back to my car to wait.
Fast forward 20 minutes - I walk back inside and find there is no line now. Nice. I walk right to the counter and wait. And wait. And wait. Multiple employees walk by, look at me, and continue walking. Some walked over to make pizza boxes. Those damn pizza boxes. Some came up to check the computer screen in front of me and then walk off. Finally, an employee walks up and says "Can I help you?" What? Can you help me? Nope, I like standing here for my health, I don't need help. I tell the employee that I am here for my order and give them the name. They walk off and return with my order and say "Here you go." No apology for the wait. No apology for how long it took someone to help me. Nothing. Just "Here you go."
Here is the worst part of my experience. When I get home and open our pizza and garlic bread, it was cold. Like it had been sitting waiting to be picked up for over 20 minutes. All of that hassle for cold pizza. It will be a cold day in July before my family gives Parry's any...
