Del Taco — Restaurant in Cathedral City

I am updating my star ratings for this location based on a few things:

Food changed from 3 to 4 stars based on freshness of food and I have definitely noticed a difference since Summer this year. I was just here two days ago and the food couldn't of been better! Well worth the walk from the Target shopping area!

Service changed from 3 to 5 stars based on the employees I usually see are kind, truly look like they are enjoying working here AND they acknowledge the customer almost as soon as they come walking through the door - that is priceless these days.

Atmosphere changed from 3 to 4 stars just due to the fact the employees laughing is contagious and with life today, who doesn't need to laugh more often? I know I do!

Last but not least I will add this - last week I stopped in the evening of 12/14 - Person I'm assuming is a manager who's been there many times during the evening hours when I have stopped in, also working the drive thru window, front counter and making things all around happen. There was another employee working the kitchen area and making the orders, helping a person I think they may have been training. Long story short - my bike was stolen while I was asking a question at the counter by someone who had just come in and asked for a glass of water. Pretty sure the person saw I wasn't paying attention and took the opportunity to swipe the bike. Yes, it was locked but not to a bike rack so that is my bad. I’m going to tell you why this is the best Del Taco is the Palm Springs area. But first I have to tell you why I love Del Taco. I grew up hating crinkle fries, and when I tasted Del Taco’s crinkle fries I fell in love. I couldn’t believe I could ever love a crinkle fry! Plus they have that whole “California fresh Mex” thing going on which I love. Now what makes this location so special is, imagine your Mexican grandmother worked here. The food tastes like it’s “homemade Del Taco” if that’s even possible. In other words, you can tell they take pride in how they cook, and it shows in the food. Margarita she is the most amazing person to meet when you purchase anything at del taco or you can be certain that it’s done right this lady has been at this location for over 20 years and knows how it’s done she learned from the best she knows how to run her crew like a Swiss watch better yet a Rolex I’ve been dining here on and off for over 10 years the establishment The regime has changed hands and she has passed on the knowledge and keeps it going strong it’s the number one del taco in Coachella Valley and if you are a connoisseur of Del tacos as I am you will know after being there eating there that they are all trained by the Best thank you Margarita for your service.
