Generous is the word I would use to describe this true gem of a place. We were on a quest for authentic tacos on our last night in Rancho Mirage, and we couldn't have been more pleased with what we found. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the brightest and grandest yellow double doors, leading into an interior that truly captures the essence of dining in Mexico.
The street tacos are packed with simple, homey flavors that transport you straight to a taqueria in the heart of Mexico. The portions are incredibly generous, and the family who owns and operates Super Taco is absolutely wonderful. Though their taqueria is only a year old in the neighborhood, the family has been a staple in the taqueria scene since the early '90s. They are solid, reliable, and take pride in their craft.
From the quality of the food to the generous portions and their warm hospitality, everything about Super Taco exudes a sense of love and care. They are a humble and proud family, and we loved connecting with them to learn about their journey. We told everyone that came across our way after leaving the taqueria last night and continued to talk this place up all the way up to our uber driver before flying back home today. Lol 😆 We will...
Read moreWhat can I say about Super Taco other than its delicious, affordable, friendly and satisfying. Found this place driving by thought why not? Asked Maria (the grand daughter or the original owner) what I should try, she recommended the the Quesa-Birria Tacos. Two cheesy crispy tacos served with a side of caldo de birria. HOLY SH*T!! Amazing. Some of the best flavors to hit my taste buds in a while. (Ate so fast forgot to take a picture). Maria was very sweet, attentive and offered a ton of recs. She is extremely proud of her family owned restaurant. Told us her mother took it over from grandpa who was from Zacatecas,Mexico. She proudly said its the closest food to mexican home cooking we’ll find around. And after trying a ton of junky mexican food places near Palm Springs, she was right. Super Taco is now a go to. Also, unexpectedly, has a beautiful patio in the back for out door dinning (reminds me of Rosarito). Give it a shot if ur in the desert area. If ur in Palm Springs ur not gonna find better! ……..(FYI got 4 delicious fat tacos, 2 small caldos for dipping, 2 beers, chips and salsa...
Read moreI recently visited SUPER TACO and absolutely loved everything about it. The name and vibrant decor grabbed our attention first and the food won us over in the end. The atmosphere was inviting and had a fun, vibrant vibe. Now, let's talk about the food. The tacos were out of this world! Each bite was bursting with flavor and filled with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The tortillas were soft and perfectly toasted, adding a delightful crunch to every bite. The menu offered a wide variety of tacos -- we had Carne Asado, Al Pastor and Burria (only available on Saturday & Sunday) The salsa bar was packed with zesty flavors, and I couldn't help but ask for extra to take home. The service was top tier.
The combination of mouthwatering food, colorful atmosphere, and top-notch service made for an GREAT casual dining experience. Whether you're a taco aficionado or simply looking to enjoy a satisfying meal, this place is a...
