A "sale" is the easy part, the challenge is "service after the sale" and Jessup fails miserably in that regard. i've owned about 25 GM's in my life and never have I seen such gross incompetence.
I brought in my '24 3500HD on numerous (back to back) occasions, each time with the same problems as the visits only days before..On more than once occasion I was told my truck was finished and before i ever left their lot, I'd turn around and take it back immediately with the same issues not fixed! There is no quality control, each visit, the same problem(s) and each time the vehicle is sent back to me, the same problem(s) exist.
One of several issues was a constant electrical drain which completely drained both batteries. The batteries were so dead that t couldn't be jumped and had to be towed in 3 times! Each time they blamed it on "aftermarket" accessories. Each time, when I brought the truck back, I completely disconnected the accessories and the batteries would still go completely dead as described above.
I would give them a detailed write up as to the problem and what I perceived was causing it. Each time that was obviously ignored and my truck was returned to with the same issues as when I brought it in.
Another issue was the air conditioning. It was not functioning as designed. When the Climate Control was in automatic and on a hot day, the blower should automatically ramp up to high and adjust the interior temp as set. They were baffled and I had to drive over 2 hours (round trip) to Jessup and put two of their lead people in a new truck to show them how the air conditioning should operate, they literally didn't know! Even after that, I get jy truck returned and the air conditioning still not functioning properly!
Ron Austin (Service Manager) is grossly incompetent, he doesn't listen, talks in circles, casts the blame everywhere but where it belongs; he's a smpth talking shmoozer and not a Service Manager but, it gets worse. He specifically told me that after being drained to 2 volts that my batteries were bad and had to be replaced. Being dubious after multiple failed attempts at repairs, I discreetly "marked" both batteries so that I could tell if they were in fact replaced. They in fact WERE NOT replaced and I was lied to. When I brought this up at the Dealership, it was nonchalantly shrugged off. If one of my employees lies to a client; there's no second chances, they are dismissed immediately.
Now, and after my truck has bee in their shop approximately 100+/- days in the last 4 months I'm picking it up. All the problems remain and I will never return to Jessup. No matter how big or how small, I would never buy from them yet alone allow them to service anything I own.
In closing, the Owner (Dan Jessup) claims to "care". Over the course of this I have left him at least 4 voicemails and sent an email expressing my grave concerns. In not one instance did I get the courtesy of any response.
In closing, if Google would allow ZERO Stars that's what they deserve. The incompetence, their failure to listen or comprehend, and lying are all reasons why I will never set foot in that establishment again,
UPDATE - One of the work items necessitated Jessup removing and reinstalling my simple tonneau cover. My truck was other wise ready to pick up on Friday but I was asked if I could leave it there until Monday so that they could make sure it was "right and proper"; I agreed. Today, and after incurring another four days of rental expense, I went to pick up my truck and the tonneau cover was installed backwards and (again) they still have my truck! This Dealership has absolutely no quality control and has Service Department Managers that are incompetent and don't care.
UPDATE II -
In relation to their comment, thanking me for my comment and assuring me that they will be reaching out soon,ā¦ā¦ A week has gone by and as I expected, not a word...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas gonna be a 3 star but Richard finance manager got that extra star....had bad experience in past. But came in other day to look into a new truck. To start was on the chevy side and looked at a grip of trucks while waiting for a salesman to comd help us....after 30-45 mins we got nothin n went to the cadillac side....got help immediately. And was given to charlie. Nice guy to start. Went to trade in my malibu and got low balled big time....soon as we said it was lower then what we were looking for he was just like ok thx for coming in.....like wow ok we felt our business wasn't wanted. Of not for ur wide selection of trucks we would of left. We looked at more trucks despite the way we felt and were Introduced to Richard the finance manager.....very nice n great guy....we like Richard. We got a lil more for my trade in and he did what he could to help us further find a truck and a deal.....ended with a 2024 colorado lt...love my truck. But I asked bout getting my spline key lugs from my malibu and Charlie had said not a problem he would see to it. My wife came next day and was told she was gonna get charged 160 to swap the lug nuts....I had the oem ones in the trunk of the malibu. I was disappointed and felt more upset when I had to drive from Indio back to jessup with my own tools to remove my spline lugs even tho I was promised that they would take them off for me n give them to my wife when we stopped by. Slightly irritated and disappointed in my experience.....5 stars for Richard and 3 stars for Charlie. Also 5v stars for Melissa from service for helping me figure out the chevy rewards on my phone.
update after getting more info that charlie failed to provide and having la quinta chevy actually go thru the entire truck with me and show me even more stuff and give me correct accurate specs. I'm slightly pissed as I was told truck had 3500 tow capacity and now find out it has 7700 lbs tow capacity, was told the LT trucks didn't come with tow hitches yet I'm seeing a bunch of LT 2wd colorados with them...even one that's identical to mine. I'm now lowering my experience with charlie to 1 star Richard still 5 and Melissa still 5 but since ur salesmen obviously can't give accurate info let alone help me with my trade in when I only needed my old lugs back, I highly doubt I will come back to this dealership ever again. Now I'm also gonna have to dish out mo ey to put on a trailer hitch that should of alrdy of been on my truck...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not one to leave any negative reviews since I work in the construction/hospitality industry and we depend on the reviews. This is an exception. After all my years of driving a ford and doing business with fiesta ford, Iāve decided to try a Chevrolet. Iāve decided to go with jessup since my father is friends with a loyal customer. I took my truck in because the hose broke and needed to be replaced. This is not why Iām leaving my poor review. Iām leaving this because of the customer service. They have had my truck for almost an entire month. They have had it since Nov 8th. I just picked it up this morning which is now Dec 6. Out of all that time they have had my truck they only called me 4-5 times. Iāve reached out to them multiple times for updates. Could never get a hold of my service manager who I will not release his name. They have a texting system where you can text for updates. I would text that number and sometimes would not get a response. The response I would get were āstill looking for the partā āno ETA for the partā this has been going on for weeks until I finally said Iāll look into a lawyer and get it claimed as a lemon. Then thatās when they responded and said they will request for GM to buy out my vehicle. No response until 4 days after and they finally found the part in thin air. Even though it took them almost a month looking all over the United States. Supposedly. I work in construction so I depend on a truck. Iāve lost money because of this. Iām sorry, but Iāll never do business with this dealership again and Iāll never buy a GM product.
update This dealership sent me a check for a one month payment of my truck to try and make things right with me. (Itās already past that point) i deposit the check on Dec 21st and I traded in my GM vehicle for a ford which was Dec 23rd. That very same day the check bounced and they took the money back out of my account. What a joke of a dealership and Iāll be looking into...
