Denny's — Restaurant in Cathedral City

On march 4th 2025 around 6:00pm I took my 7 year old into this Dennys for the very first time, as her request, and it was on her 7th birthday. this happened all on her birthday. We were being served by the Manager, Angelina or Angelica. Tall Platinum blonde girl with big eyelashes. I have called over 12 times to get her name but no one is answering from that establishment. My daughter was served a raw, pink and still running hamburger and clearly I wasn't too pleased so I asked her to take it back. she had a huge attitude. I ignored it until she came back with the cooked one, and told me it was taken off our bill, and on Tuesdays kids eat free after 4:00pm so my response was, " I thought it was already free?'' just to confirm the deal they were offering. Her response was " did I not just say it was taken off?!" and I said Mam I am not sure why you have such an attitude but please stop now it is my daughter's birthday and there is nothing else to talk about. She did not stop, she continued to try and carry on the conversation, she a GROWN ADULT, who was visibly scaring my daughter, went on to say that I, was making her feel afraid, and that I was verbally harassing her when I stopped speaking and my final words to her were you're an adult and you can't even hold your composure for a child. I'm calling the police. I sat in the parking lot with my daughter and called the police and filed a report. I will be pushing for the full extent for this manager to be held accountable. Do not go to this establishment. The manager kept touching her phone too, kept calling people throughout her shift, NEVER checked on us I had to get up myself and search for napkins for the greasiest sandwich I had ever had. She never washed her hands, and kept touching parts of food on the plate when she served it with her bare hands. Not professional at all and I will be filing...

I went there after a good run down at CCBC because I decided it was time to grab a snack. Of course it is early morning hours but being dennys it is never quitte empty but is always severly understaffed on the skeleton crew. I decided I was going to do a little bit of work on my lunch break and brought in my laptop. Any SoCal resident can tell you that finding and diner, coffee shop, starbucks, or Mcdonalds that has a plug that is just accessible to public use is is nonexistent..She not only gave me a booth that was right next to the plug but she searched for a booth with access like that just for me. Then we discovered the plug wasn't working but she was sweet enough to plug it in behind the counter to let it charge for me while I ate my meal. She was very nice and that staff was very professional. The restaurant was spotless despite the traffic. Most importantly of all I ordered the garlic pepper steak and I didn't see the steak knife sitting behind some stuff on the table so I used the butter knife and was surprised and delighted to see that not only was my steak cooked to perfection (for me this is med/well) but I was in fact able to slice thru it with a butter knife. I know its a dennys but this is the best dennys ive been to in probably ever. that girl working the front definitely deserves a management position and if she already is one than she should get a raise because I never would expect to get such treatment and quality at a dennys in cathedral...

The place was nice our server was horrible she was quite rude she was rushing us and then neglecting us. I know it was busy but , there were not a lot of people in our area we had to ask for more coffee never brought us milk or creamer had to go up and ask the lady at the counter for creamer, had to ask for part of our food that we never got never caught her name. She literally would cut us off and everything we tried to say if we were asking her a question about what was on the menu the food or whatever should we just literally cut us off this what it is the only thing I remember was her most favorite thing to say was okie dokie. The explanation that she gave us about the food was totally different than what we received irregardless the food was okay I wouldn't order it again the place was cleaned he was nice. Do not know what the problem was checking out we waited for 15 minutes well 3 people try to check out to people whatever the problem was I don't know and don't care to know but they could have handled the confusion little bit differently and brought another person up to take care of the three people that were waiting in line to check out. Other than that had I live there I would not return to that Denny's but since I was passing...
