Well another Thai option in the valley... Kind of a desert for really good Thai. This, unfortunately, is not the oasis. Came here for lunch on a weekday. They have a lunch special menu that comes with soup (tom yum) or salad, rice and an entrée with your choice of protein, all for under $15. The problem with the food here is the that it's WAY TOO SWEET. All of the great Thai flavors are drowned in sugar. I know that many American's prefer their healthy dose of sugar but this goes way to far. You could tell that there was some flavor in the tom yum but absolutely drowned out in sugary sweetness. I ordered the Mongolian beef (not really Thai in name but the sauce definitely had a Thai taste to it. It was the least sweet of the three meals we had, but still, too sweet. Can't really recommend it because of this sugar issue. Keep driving down the street to Talay Thai, still the best option in the Valley.

This place was pretty awesome. It was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. We came at lunch and sat outside. Our server was really nice and did a great job, but the girl bussing the tables was the star of our show. She kept our drinks full, kept checking on us and actually got our server when we wanted to order. All of the food we had was excellent. The lunch specials come with iced tea and soup or salad automatically which is pretty cool. I had the soup which was delish! We started with chicken lettuce wraps. They were great. The pad thai was awesome too. More than enough for one person as we both took more than half of our plates home. The ONLY complaint I have is that there were only 2 shrimp on mine. That's not that awesome. Other than that, everything was excellent. Also, I looked at the regular menu too since it was our first time here and it is MASSIVE. We will be back.

Overall the food was excellent here. Good sized portions, even at lunch, and very tasty and flavorful. However, there are definitely some shortcomings as well: Indoor seating is very limited, and extremely tight quarters - The tables are very close together. Outdoor seating (weather permitting) is definitely what I'd recommend, as there's more tables and more space outside. My biggest concern is that the place doesn't feel particularly clean. My first impression of the place was when the server handed me the menu. It was *literally* a stack of unlaminated, stained, dirty paper, stapled together in one corner. Gross! My paper napkin was also stained when I received it. These issues are hopefully transient, because if they end up with professional menus and a little more quality control, this will end up being a great place!

We wanted to order and have it delivered to our vacation condo. There isn't anything listed on their website of what service they use. I called the number and it went right to voicemail, and it said it wasn't set up. I did check the number I dialed and and it was the number in their site. We ordered four dinners to go online with their the Saas they use Toast. We had to specify level of spiciness in the notes of each entree. The app stated it would be ready at 5:25. I arrived in the area by 5:30 and parking in that area is an absolute nightmare. There are no reserved spots to pick up and with several other restaurants in the area, I had to park on a street quite a ways away. I found the restaurant and they said all of the online orders are being held up because they ran out of rice. I feel like they could have notified in the app that was the case so I didn't have to stand there for an additional 10 minutes to wait for my order. I did see a Grub hub sticker on the door, would have been nice if that was listed on their website. Food was delicious, and spiciness level...

Had a great time. I was looking for a bar/restaurant to watch Monday nights game. I walked by and saw they had the game on their TVs. Got greeted at the host stand by a girl who pleasantly told me she would be with me shortly. After that a gentleman came and asked me if I've been helped, and I let him know a girl told me she would help me soon. Then the gentleman sat the 4 people that were waiting behind me. I thought this was odd but I figured maybe he misunderstood me, no big deal. The girl came back and sat me outside. The gentleman came by my table and started apologizing. He thought I was ordering to go since the girl was helping me and she's responsible for taking to go orders. It really wasn't a big deal but I really appreciated how much he cared and apologized for his oversight. Lots of restaurant servers will never apologize when they make a mistake, so that goes a long way. I ordered Cashew Chicken and a Thai beer. Portions were great, food was delicious and beer was nice and cold. Service was quick and thorough. I'd...

A truly memorable visit and I highly recommend Desert Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine ! We live in Palm Springs so we are local and this will be one of many visits to our new wondrous simple discovery, a casual NEW Thai dining experience with an edge. Our visit was on the 2nd day of the restaurant opening. This is family owned and operated and trust me , the kindest people you will ever meet, the service is perfect , attentive, always positive and generous with whatever your needs might be The food was wonderful, very unique Thai experience with a bonus, not only does the chef bring a vast experience in Thai cuisine but the mom is a pastry specialist and she makes a Creme Brulee that is so good ( and we have lived in Europe and have been all over the world ) it rivals the best that homemade French patisserie might offer. Nanfer ( the son ) is a gentleman and his customer relations attributes diplomacy and tact are commendable ! Go now before the has a line out the door, a new discovery and well...
