I'm a retired General Manager in the Hospitality Industry and this is the finest review I've written in YEARS! This was a memorable experience. The customer service at Henry's is completely on point and gloriously old school. The owner was manning the front door & went above and beyond to get me the seating I desired at the Bar. This was their first "10 out of 10" score. He returns in a few short minutes (5 at the most) to see if my drink order has been taken. It hadn't, BUT.... the bartenders were SWAMPED (it was a SUPER busy Saturday). He then proceeds to take my drink order and and then fulfills it himself. The bartender then takes my order for order Nachos w/ Carne Asada. The Nachos take a little more time than normal to arrive, and alas, they're cold. (HERE'S where the 'old school' customer service goes into overdrive). I tell the bartender that the Nachos are cold. Right away, the General Manager (I assume) IMMEDIATELY steps in (with a super nice attitude) and she tells me that she's sorry for the inconvenience and that she'll take care of the issue. She followed through by delivering the new plate of Nachos VERY quickly. She obviously had multiple employees check with me throughout the rest of my visit to see if I was happy. I WAS! Additionally, the GM's husband was behind the bar and was working his backside off for me and everyone else. I AM SO INCREDIBLY...
Read moreCame here to watch a game and made the most of it with a couple beers and some tacos that to my surprise were really good. So what are the issues? Well if you feel like hanging out at the DMV to enjoy a game you’ll love it. The place is so overly lit you would think they’re getting ready for open heart surgery. The other shock to the system would be a $2.00 up-charge for cranberry juice. In a Tito’s Cranberry… a very week and short one not to mention. Is cranberry juice in short supply? Two bucks on top on an $11.00 light pour of vodka - adding up to $13.00 lame drink - topped off with a $1.25 California tax (what do they do with all this money BTW?) adds up to $14.25 8oz - with ice - for syrup no less… is bogus and needs to be called out! Which I did when I mentioned it to our lovely, kind, waitress… who agreed and said: “there’s nothing that can be done about it.” Where are we? Dubai? I considered calling the police to let them know I’d been robed… but my better half talked me down from that ledge. So to sum it up… Have a beer… watch a game… bring some sunglasses - and BYO juice if you plan on having...
Read moreBar was fairly clean, crowd bywas mixed which was nice and the music was noticeable if you mentally chose to listen but not distracting, so huge plus. Bartender was fine, lack of attention as my stay dragged on to near the 90 minute mark, but it is what it is. Beer on tap were fair sized for a large with a decent selection. Big complaint was that the 4oz of meat quesadilla was hardly that. Pictures attached to the review, but the bartender supposedly even asked the kitchen to confirm the 2oz or 4oz quesadilla they made for me and they claimed 4oz. There was MAYBE 3 total being generous. Overall, decent experience, but nothing to recommend with enthusiasm honestly. I would rather shoot in the dark and try a new place if we're being honest. Good potential here though for sure with a bit of extra managerial oversight. Additional comment: quesadilla taken away after asking for a check with 2 bites left with basically zero chance of asking to finish without making it...
