Ordered two Lengua Tacos which I ate on site and the Birria Taco meal to go.
I suspect that I received Cabeza Tacos instead of Lengua only because of the consistency of the meat and the amount of grease. Either way, the Tacos were delicious. Rather small (3 bite) but the meat was flavorful and the fresh homemade Corn Tortillas are always a game changer. Was also given Chips and Salsa and the Salsa was really good.
Also tried two Salsas on the Salsa Bar. The Green was good, rather mild but the other one was HOT. Good flavor, just use sparingly if youâre into hot.
I wish I would have eaten the Birria on site as I ate it three hours after it was prepared so Iâm not being fair. The meat was dry and could have used a bit more flavor, but again that is probably due to eating it three hours after. I did get a nice large cup of ConsommĂŠ which had great flavor and helped out big time. Rice and beans were solid. Did not picture the Birria Tacos, Rice and Beans because they were very photogenic at the time.
Meal was $30 with a $5 tip. On par with the area.
Owner Sammy is a pleasure. Great guy, great service and great atmosphere. Probably wonât return because Iâd check out other places, but if youâre into Authentic Mexican Iâd definitely give this...
Read moreTacos Del Valle delivers a memorable experience that combines authentic flavors with exceptional freshness, all at an incredibly reasonable priceâespecially for California standards. The carnitas burrito I had was perfectly balanced, featuring tender, flavorful pork paired with well-seasoned rice and melted cheese wrapped in a perfectly toasted tortilla. It was a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality.
The chips and salsa trio were a highlight, showcasing the chef's mastery of bold, layered flavors. Even the tomatillo salsaâsomething I usually avoidâwas a delightful surprise, bursting with freshness and zest. The lemonade was refreshing and clearly made with care, rounding out the meal beautifully.
The atmosphere, tucked into a corner of a strip mall, belies the gem inside. The warm hospitality and attention to detail in every dish made the experience feel personal and special.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, Tacos Del Valle is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Mexican cuisine. Their dedication to fresh ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and fair pricing is rare and truly sets them apart. I canât wait for...
Read moreNot good. At dinner time, the only customer on a weds evening. Iâm hungry and donât want to wait long to eat so I Order the nachos to go for $15.99; delicious description on the menu. I wait. No sounds or smells coming from the tiny kitchen. I wait. Nothings happening. I wait. At about 20 mins Iâm about to leave and dude comes in holding a bowl of raw meat. He throws me a little basket of about 10 chips and a droplet of salsa. Chips are stale. I wait. I ask dude if my nachos are coming, he tells me few minutes. I wait. Finally he asks me to pay and I ask to see the food first-wow. Looks so unappetizing, not anything like the menu description. And super small serving. I declined and left disappointed. 30 minutes down the toilet. Nachos gotta be that complicated?
Not suprised about the drug paraphernalia found by the health dept inspector. The dude with the bowl of raw meat was completely stoned. Not surprised this place was closed by the health dept. itâs...
