We finally got out to Bigfoot Betty's in Cedar Falls. TLDR- worth it! I had never seen inside, so just know if you are a mobility aid user or have young children, you might have an issue during busy times as there is one large "normal" height table in the middle and one at the entrance that seats two (a little chilly over there w the cold though). The rest are high top tables so we lifted our 3 year old up but other than that it was fine! Plus I'm sure they could split up the large center table if needed. It is a serve yourself restaraunt similar to Starbecks where you go up to order, get your own drinks, etc. You can enter through Sarah's (coffee place) or the doors on the other side of the building; both say Bigfoot Betty's on the window. We went at 3pm so it was dead inside with just one other table so our food came out quickly. We got the onion rings and cheese fry appetizers (small size for both) and enjoyed them. Onion rings were stringy style and very greasy (that's a given) but I would order again. They were unfortunately out of cheese curds so that's why we got fries. Ranch was great too. Our table ordered the Voodoo burger, Popper burger, kids grilled cheese, and Porkey Pig. Voodoo burger was good but I feel like it was missing something and didn't quite have the edge over Pepper's black & Bleu burger. Both burgers were overdone in my eyes, but some may like them like that. Popper burger had a good amount of heat and would be what I would order next time. My husband was feeling sick so unfortunately didn't eat his porkey pig in the restaraunt, but it was heated up later in the air fryer and was still very good. Had never tried BBQ sauce on a tenderloin before but it was quite good and their bbq sauce was delicious. Will definitely go back again! We want to try the huge tenderloin next 😊

We stopped in for our first visit earlier today and it would seem to me they picked the right name for the place as it was a bit difficult to find. 😀 It address of 419 Main St and it's actually located on the backside of the building (if there is a door facing Main St we missed it). I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich (I've never had one before) and Terri ordered the Patty Melt ( one of her favorite sandwiches) and we ordered a small order of the Kraken Onion Rings. The onion rings were overly greasy and just fell flat in our opinion. The meat on the Monte Cristo was very tasty, the pulled pork, ham, bacon were all equally delicious. The bread was described as French Toast on the menu board...it had a good crunch to it but it was very soggy (grease? or butter?) overall and really detracted from the sandwich. The sandwich was served with a Strawberry Dipping sauce that surprisingly to me was a nice touch. I really liked the potato salad side dish as well. Terri was not a fan of the Patty Melt's texture..it seemed like it had been overly ground and came across very "mushy" like in consistency....it had a good flavor but the overall effect was a bit off-putting. The fries she ordered were average...I guess I expect fries at establishments that are more upscale to be seasoned to some degree. There were a few more items on the menu that caught our attention so we'll probably head back at some point.

This was my first time visiting Bigfoot Betty's and, without hesitation, I can say that I'll be back...often! This week was Cedar Falls Main Street's Restaurant Week, so my first stop was this fantastic restaurant! As soon as I went inside, the gentleman at the counter greeted me. He was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant has a woodsy Bigfoot decor, which was clean and nice. I ordered their Restaurant Week special, which is pictured here. The Max (A tenderloin with caramelized onions, melted cheddar cheese, and barbecue sauce) with fries. And let me tell you...it was A-MAZ-ING!! Best tenderloin I've ever had!! And I've tried quite a few tenderloins. It was thick and tender, like a tenderloin should be, with a delicious breading. Not too thick or heavy. Just the perfect amount to make the tenderloin flavorful! And the cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, and onions just enhanced the juicy tenderloin flavor. The fries were very good, too. Crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. Perfect! Thank you very much to the chef!! I couldn't have had a better meal!! There are burgers, sandwiches, salads, and lots of things to try, but I am absolutely cray cray about their tenderloins and can't wait to try more of them and so many other delicious looking food off of Bigfoot Betty's menu. If you haven't tried this place yet, check it out! It's awesome!!
