Years ago we stumbled across this fun restaurant. The first experience was so incredible we make it point to visit the same location when we visit this part of Texas. All previous visits were 5 star and beyond, unfortunately this visit didn't hold up to the old First Watch experiences.

Let's begin with the service, while not bad, it was barely acceptable, what happened, new leadership? New ownership? I realize it can be difficult to build and maintain a Rockstar crew....but this experience was indicative of failed leadership. The building itself is beginning to show signs of wear, the interior and the exterior seating all need to be refreshed.....our table was so broken we had to move. The silverware is dingy, icky, has water scale and just clear evidence that it's been a few years since replacement. The coffee carafes .....come on dented, chiped, stained and icky....handles that used to be black but are now just dirty... the overall state of the restaurant leaves many questions...when is the last time the latrines were cleaned....if the facilities are that gross it begs the question....how clean is your kitchen. Quality, food prices have indeed gone up, and your quality way down. The worst part of this visit for me was the dissatisfaction and disappointment with the million dollar bacon (mdb). In the past the mdb was thick cut and perfectly crisped and prepared bacon strips.....today's visit the bacon and service was worse than Dennys. The waitress never came back to check, by then I had begrudgingly nibbled the majority of the order....once I shared my dissatisfaction there was 0 acknowledgement, no manager follow up just the receipt tossed on the table. The coffee, not sure where the change occurred but the coffee is better at 7-11...just not the quality that once was. The disappointing experience this trip will lead to future debate to return or not. Experience and followup are key factors, this location failed both. Overall the meal was ok. I truly hope that the investment group that owns this chain can bring it back to the 5 star quality itnused to represent. Thank you for extending a 1st responder and...

Not a good experience, not saying you could go and have the same situation happen to you but definitely needs to be noted.

  1. We came during brunch(really busy time) and had a 30min wait. No biggy we thought, we walked to Happy Lemon and played some scrabble to wait. We got their text message about our table being ready but they give you 120seconds to check in or your table is gone. So we ran over to the restaurant and they gave someone else our table( we didn’t take longer than 2min I promise) the Hostess set us in a corner table near the restroom. When I asked if he gave our table away the hostess said the manager did…. I requested to be moved to a different table, which he moved us with a snarky attitude. (Not really a big deal, it was busy).
  2. Ordered the Smoked Salmon egg Benedict. Now Ladies and Gentlemen when I tell you this was the worst breakfast Benedict I’ve ever had… I’m not exaggerating, they served us spoiled RAW Salmon which is apparently smoked. Also I requested for extra crispy potatoes, the potatoes came out borderline raw as well.
  3. The service was good, manager took off the food off the table and allowed us to walk out free of charge and gave us some gift cards which we gave away because we will never come back here. BUT… This place has high recommendations, to me it was a no go. I would not recommend but you may have a different experience than me. 3/10 overall for me, do...

As a frequent customer to this place, it is sad to see the quality consistently dropping in this place . We went here on a Saturday for breakfast . The line was fairly moderate considering that this is the only highly valued breakfast place in the area (although snooze is coming up in the next few weeks). We love the food and the ambiance here but recently started noticing a drop in the food quality . The market skillet hash was supposed to have some veggies and ours hardly had any except some raw spinach and tiny bit of mushrooms, and the potatoes dominate the dish . We wish they could add more veggies to the dish without adding a ton of potatoes. The waiter did not even ask what kind of bread we wanted and we didn’t know it included bread until the dish came out and wish we had known so we could have ordered gluten free . The new blackberry lemon cream French toast was good but a bit on the soggy side . The worst part was that we ordered a side of potatoes and it came with bits of bacon on it (not supposed to be on the dish) and one of us is vegetarian and we couldn’t eat it. Overall, not a great experience and might need to look into other breakfast places in the area for a better...

The atmosphere is great. Checked in online and we were seated quickly upon arrival on a Sunday morning around 9am. We’ve been here several times in the past and have enjoyed the good here. Today, not so much. With all the marketing about fresh foods at this restaurant, I was shocked that the only coffee creamer was in pre-packed containers that just sit on the table all day. I asked for half-and-half and was told that they didn’t carry creamer like that- only that pre-package junk. As for the food, I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out scrambled. I didn’t say anything to the server about it because I don’t like to send food back and I was ok eating scrambled - except the eggs were cold. The avocado spread was good but the bra m toast it was on was soggy - as if it had been made earlier and just been sitting waiting for someone to order it. My husband was happy enough with his plate of waffle, scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage links, but his eggs were cold too. Overall, not a great experience and I don’t have any plans to go back.

I went with a small group for a Saturday lunch. We used the online waitlist to avoid standing around waiting for a table... worth the trouble! So we were seated promptly and receive good service the entire time. They have delicious coffee, fresh-squeezed juices, delicious craft teas, and a wide-ranging menu of breakfast, lunch and brunch items. If you are looking for a bloody mary or mimosa they can help you in that regard, as well. NOT a full bar however. I enjoyed the lemon curd pancakes, others had avocado toast, Belgian waffle, tacos, the pecan-crusted-chicken salad and eggs benedict. All were delicious and served hot. The decor is modern and open and includes a small number of seats at the bar. Prices are reasonable , our two meals which included coffee and a juice totalled just under $35. Parking is ample, FYI look around the back of the building. You will pay for your food at the register, and curbside pickup is available. We loved this popular spot which closes at 2:30 pm. No dinner service..
