While we've only done takeout during COVID-19 before now, we decided to dine in today for a special occasion since we heard Hopdoddy is open for dine-in with social distancing and other COVID-19 adjustments. We arrived shortly after they opened at 11am and there was no line and only one other table in use. Tables inside have signs on them indicating which can be used to ensure social distancing, and tables outside have been spaced apart. All employees are wearing face masks and gloves, and they were very quick about sanitizing tables shortly after customers left. They also had a good system for curbside takeout orders, with cones and signs in the parking lot indicating lanes to drive up and numbered parking spots to wait for your order. Also, there were hand sanitizer stations and paper towel dispensers everywhere and a note on the drink dispenser to get a new cup if you want a refill. And they had the two sets of doors labeled so that you could only enter via the front door and only exit via the patio door, making traffic one way. By the time we left closer to noon, the tables had begun to fill up and there was a short line at the front door. We ordered the magic shroom burger, El Diablo burger, sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and a kids grilled cheese with regular fries and milk (substituted for a fountain drink at no extra cost). The food was all delicious. The burgers seemed smaller than what I remembered and the fries servings bigger than I remembered (they used to come in a paper cone and now they come in a big bowl), but since it's been a while since I've been to Hopdoddy I don't know if those are changes given current prices and availability of ingredients or changes they'd made anyway a while back. Either way I had plenty of food and it was all made well and incredibly quickly. They were also very quick and accommodating to replace the kids meal when we mentioned they'd brought out a burger instead of the grilled cheese sandwich we'd ordered, so we accidentally got an extra meal to take home for free. I think the grilled cheese might use inside-out buns, which is an interesting touch that my kid enjoyed. Altogether our visit was an excellent experience with the quality of food we remember and all of the pandemic safety measures we could have asked for.

I recently visited and had an interesting experience with their advertised adult happy meal. The meal was supposed to include a box, a bar key, a burger, fries, and a frozen margarita in a pouch, all for a reasonable price of $15. However, upon my arrival, I was disappointed to discover that they were out of the bar keys, the box, and the margarita pouch. Despite this initial setback, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service provided by Chris, the manager. He immediately noticed my disappointment and took it upon himself to rectify the situation. Chris went above and beyond to offer alternatives for the missing items, engaging in a thoughtful discussion to find a suitable replacement. Throughout the process, he continuously apologized for the inconvenience, demonstrating genuine concern for my satisfaction as a customer. As an understanding customer, I recognized that the popularity of this promotion had led to a quick depletion of certain items. Despite this, I must commend Chris and his team for their exceptional handling of the situation. Chris even managed to locate a bar key for me, ensuring that I didn't miss out on any aspect of the advertised experience. Furthermore, he graciously accommodated my preference for a margarita on the rocks, which turned out to be even more enjoyable for me. Overall, I left as a happy and satisfied customer, primarily due to the outstanding service provided by Chris and his employees. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and commitment to resolving the issue surpassed my expectations. I believe that the way they handled this situation exemplifies their dedication to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Hopdoddys to others, not only for their enticing promotions but also for the exceptional customer service that sets them apart. I am confident that, under the leadership of Chris, this company will continue to thrive and provide memorable experiences for its patrons. Thank you, Chris and team, for turning what could have been a disappointing experience into a positive one.

My wife and I decided to go out for a nice Friday night burger. We previously had a great eating experience here before; however, we ended up regretting spending so much for so little in quality. 1) Burgers were of subpar quality. My wife's burger patty was simply burnt on certain parts. Dry on other parts. And lacked the quality that attracted us here in the first place. 2) Truffle fries were possibly made well in advance as they were dry, hard, and stiff. Not fresh for sure. You can not cover up poor quality with extra parmesan. Dipping sauce was good. 3) First time trying the Truffle Brussels. Very excited to try these... Very disappointed. The brussels were peeled to single leafs, then put in only what I could imagine as Satan's oven to be burned/chard beyond recognition of a vegetable of any kind. Again, trying to mask this with excessive oil and parmesan did not work. When eating them, they simply vanished in your mouth making you feel robbed of the food from your mouth. Then you realize you had been literally robbed of $10. We love Brussels but this was not it. They didn't even look like the advertised picture on the menu. We didn't even order drinks but somehow spent nearly $60 for burgers and fries. To that note, we could not find anyone that could point us in the direction of much needed water. We were starting to feel a post volcanic event aftermath in our mouths... Very dry and gritty. I understand every one has "off" days but when you pay premium prices you expect premium quality. This was not it. Parmesan and oil should not be used as a masking agent of poor quality. Service at the front was good.

Have been yo this location twice now, about a month or so apart. Sat at the bar each time, just had a drink and had truffle fries as well on the latest visit. Common to both visits: The bar stinks like a dirty wash rag and was stickiesh each time. Not dive bar sticky, but like the junior high aspiring to be that sticky. Drinks both times were fine: 1st visit had a 60min draft. 2nd visit had a 60min and a Mule (good mule). Service (bar)- both visits are on a Thursday or Friday between 5-6.30pm. Each time the bar only had a few empty seats but was by no means slammed. 1st visit: Slow to get to me but was pleasant once he did. 2nd vivsit: At least two bartenders splitting the bar, my guy (older, beard, likes chains) he may be new and say that because he didn't know how to run a bar and spent a lot time at the ticket printer. Took forever to acknowledge me, brought the beer out fine, took forever with a Sprite for my son. He was flushing a draft drain, maybe, saw him fill a pitcher and pour some water down. But no communication- like dude, it's on the gun. Brings Sprite 3/4 full- like obviously not full, still no words. Comes back after a min,no problem, we get fries. He talks to friends at the bar, i see another lady sit down at the bat and it looks like he checks on her 8 mins layer ( I could have missed her telling him she need more time) but it looked sloppy. He doesn't glance at me, notice that drinks and food are a low, ask if we need anything (like the check) that's cool. Maybe he is busy, nope back to the ticket printer. After a few, I put my credit card down front and center. Misses the card on the way to say bye to his friends and again on the way back. Misses it again getting to the lady who sat on my right. She helps me get his attention. Settle. Up. Food: Only referencing fries on trip two. Okay. More black parts of fried than expected.not looking for them but enough that it grabbed my attention after i picked up the 6th one. But tasted fine. They give a big old mixing bowl of fried (nice value) and then a thimble full of truffle sauce. Ratios are waaaay off. May not go back again. Which sucks because it's right next to my barber. I vcan put up with lapses in service but the sticky bar....? For the readers knowledge I did bartend for 6 years and have managed the front...
