I just gave this be WWA a one star because I can’t rate lower. I’m not normally a complainer, but tonight I had a combination of poor service and even pour food with a little empathy for what I went through from either the bartender or the manager. I want to tell you my story.
So I go there this evening and I go to the bar because I’m by myself, thinking it would be quicker and easier. First it took the barmaid almost 4 minutes to even acknowledge I was there she asked me what I wanted to drink I ordered a beer. Then I didn’t see her again for several more minutes
I finally ordered my meal. A burger, with the fries and a side of coleslaw. So now the fun begins. The coleslaw was about 2 tablespoons of cabbage with some carrots and other nondescript vegetables from a bag (no real surprise). Then there was s hint of a balsamic dressing, and I mean a hint, it was like biting into a head of cabbage fresh out of Costco. Then I a grab a French fry, tepid at best, obviously these were the furthest from the warming bulb onto the “Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger”. What a misnomer here. The bun was so freaking hard my fork, which was all I received for a table service and it was such a cheap fork it both bent as I tried to use it and damn near cut my hand in the process.
Then I was asked if I wanted any ketchup, at this point I needed something for flavor. So the barmaid goes to the end of the bar and begins to wrestle with a fresh bottle only to be used able to remove the foil security seal. She then proceeds to hand the bottle to a customer at the bar, who is probably a nice guy and healthy but I do t know that, and he removes the foil seal.
By this time I have discarded the 4 day old bun, (and know that I was a bachelor for sometime and know old bread when I try to stick a fork in it), and waged in on then driest piece of beef ever served since Sasquatch’s dehydration system broke down!
So slow service, lousy side dish, along with cold fries, stale bun, dry meat, and my condiments readied by an off duty truck driver (who may well be a nice guy but I didn’t see him wash his hands before tearing into the foil on the ketchup bottle) all adds up to me being less than pleased.
I have never written a bad review, or any review I can recall, before now. The reason I am doing it now is I approached one of the managers and asked him aside to discuss my distress away from any other clients. He sat there looking at me with this practiced face of trumped up concern and then offered to comp my coleslaw.
I told him thank you, but free cabbage was not going to quell my disgust and I would not return to this BWW or any under the management of the Baccam franchisee name.
I apologize for the length of this diatribe and I assure you I will never subject any of you to another. Because I’m just going go to locally owned and operated establishments from hence forth and to hell with...
Read moreIf you sort the reviews by date instead of the default "relevant" the majority of reviews in the last few months have been positive. Seems they're working on the issues mentioned in past. Have been here twice in the last month with no issues either time.
Regarding the comments about staff, I'd love if people took a second to think about the type of restaurant they're at. This is a sports bar and grill. Grant you that's not an excuse to have horrible service by any means but chances are you aren't going to be served by someone that has been working there for years. Restaurants are known for having high turnover. It takes time for people to learn. Plus, unless you go late at night you're likely not the only table they have. There was one review that mentioned the wait staff being high school kids. I can say that's definitely not the case. To be able to serve alcohol you have to be at least 18.
Saw lots of comments on the prices too. Chain restaurants have pretty standard prices regardless of what location you're at. Always wonder what people's expectations are when they pay $10-$15 dollars for a restaurant meal. Is it really overpriced when all you have to do is order and its brought to you?
You're not just paying for food, you're paying for convenience as well. People tend to forgot that part. Same logic as why milk is $5 at the gas station as opposed to $2 in the store. If you're going to complain about price go make the food yourself, at home, which will take twice as long, probably cost more too because you can't buy bulk ingredients, and to top it off you'll have to clean everything up afterwards. I say $10-$15 is a pretty reasonable price for not having to deal with all that.
Point being, next time you go online to make your 1 or "0" star review think of everything that goes into getting your food and the convenience you get out of it. If you're taking the initiative to go online and leave "bad" reviews, at least be decent enough to leave some constructive criticism instead of a vague comment or no...
Read moreI’m not one to leave a bad review but tonight was terrible. Long story short, we sat down at 6:40 and we placed our food order in a little before 7:15 since we were waiting for our forth person to arrive and around 8:10, we asked our server where our food was after being told constantly that “It’ll be out soon”. From the time that we placed our order to asking our server where our order was, 13-15 tables (ranging from two people to 8 people) had sat, ate, and left all while we were still waiting. We said to go ahead and cancel our order because we no longer wanted to wait since it was very clear that it had never been plugged in, in the first place. After our waitress came back twice from “checking to see where our ticket was in line”, we finally told her to cancel the order. She left once more to “check” and when she came back, we asked for an update (because that’s the whole reason she went back to the kitchen in the first place) to which she proceeded to say “Well, you said to cancel it” and push come to shove, she finally admitted she had never placed our order to begin with. We wouldn’t have been as upset if she’d of been honest with us in the first place. All four of us at the table have been in the serving industry for years so we are not the kind of people to make a scene like those who haven’t worked in the industry tend to do. Needless to say, we will not be back, not to the Edgewood Road SW location, which is a bummer because the food quality has improved tremendously and we enjoyed coming in on Thursdays to eat. To say it was an off night isn’t acceptable because everyone around us who was also taken care of by the server we had, had no...
