Poorest customer service I've seen in a while. To summarize, when I got to the front counter the cashier didn't acknowledge my presence and didn't ask how he could help? Finally I told him that I had an online order. He asked what kind of barbecue chips I wanted? I responded with 'what kinds are there'? He didn't answer the question and instead walked to the back of the store. Then a guy came in (who myself and another customer ended up finding out was his brother) returning a wallet that this same cashier guy had forgotten.
After this he came up to the front with an order, "did you order from GrubHub?" I said "No." He leaves the same order on desk. While waiting around for my order that should have already been made since they were staffed with 4 people and it was after the time frame that the online estimate gave, the same cashier asked if I needed anything? I said 'I'm waiting for my order to be made.' To which he responded that he already told me that the order he brought from the back of the store to the front desk was mine. Sure enough the receipt on the front said it was mine. But he didn't mention the name on the reciept, so how I supposed to know it in fact was mine?
The sandwich is fine. But I wouldn't come back here anytime soon. Please get your...
Read moreThe food is good, but the service is ATROCIOUS. I was just in there, at 8, and was treated like I was a huge inconvenience. Like I was keeping the girl at the counter from something FAR more important. Keep in mind, they dont even close until 9, so...? I also asked her if they have soup, and without even looking up from her register she just spat out, "No we don't!" Oh, my bad for asking if a place that has soup on their menu has soup! She was also really rude to one of her coworkers because apparently he wrapped the money in the wrong paper. Maybe she was the manager? God I hope not, because as someone who is in management I can tell you she would be a terrible one. If you're gonna coach, don't do it loudly in front of customers. Sandwiches are good, but I'll likely avoid...
Read moreAfter donating blood, I figured a good meal would help refuel. Good thing Capriotti’s was nearby.
It was pretty busy when I got there (though the lunch rush would do that anywhere). I figured you couldn’t go wrong with a classic cheese steak and got some sweet and spicy peppers on it for free. With all the people there, it took a while for my sandwich to get completed.
The wait was definitely worth it. The steak was tender and well seasoned, the cheese was melty, the veggies had a nice crunch even after being grilled, and the peppers definitely had some kick. Pile all those ingredients onto a fluffy sub and you’ve got a recipe for excellence.
I don’t always got to Capriotti’s. But when I do, I enjoy...
