Deb's Ice Cream & Deli — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

My son/11 yr old and I have been coming in once a week for the last month or so. He orders the same thing every time. Cookie monster with banana cream ice cream. Basically an ice cream sandwich with cookies. I make him order so he can practice his public speaking. Never been an issue and service great up until this point. Today Deb waited on us. She had no clue what he even ordered even though the sign for it was right in front of her. She then gets really short and then asks me what his order is. I repeated it. She then stomps across the store and comes back with the 2 cookies and proceeds to tell me this isn't on the menu. Again... it's literally right infront of her on a stand. Have had no problems before from the other nice lady who has served us before. She amazing. Given the way Deb spoke to us, today was our last visit. I'm sure she won't miss our $4. Don't eat there!! They did not honor the price posted on the menu in the window or in the dessert case and overcharged me $2.49 before tax despite my complaints. As a consolation I was given a quarter to make up for most of the difference in the price increase of the dessert. The owner (?) was not interested in hearing my complaints, stated "Oh yes, we are a shady operation here. You just need to go eat somewhere else form now on!" and then walked away into the backroom so that she didn't have to provide a resolution to my complaint. I went in to try the food and ice cream my coworkers have told be me about. I spoke and asked the ladies if a bathroom was there. One immediately said NO! and walked off. I was thinking ok, let me hurry up and order so i can get to a bathroom somewhere downtown, as i approach the counter to the left is a Mens and womens restroom.
