Remember the days when your team used to celebrate the season at a classic pizza parlor? You know the type – a little arcade, good grub (plus beer on tap), and some seriously awesome staff. Well, guess what? While those days might feel like a distant memory, there are still a few of those golden-era pizza joints around, and Colonna's Pizza & Pasta is one of 'em.
Stepping inside feels like you've been transported to the heart of New York, complete with NY-style pizza. They've even got some killer statues of the Belushi brothers belting out tunes (Moses couldn't resist having some fun with them) and a few games tucked away in the back. With plenty of seating for your whole crew and a solid selection of beers on tap, it's a place where good times are practically guaranteed.
We went all-in and ordered the Garlic Knots, a large White Margherita pizza, and a large half-pepperoni-half-pineapple pie. Let me tell you, the dough was pure perfection, and the red sauce – spot on. Now, here's a twist… the pineapple chunks were like escape artists! They were a little too large and had a knack for falling off. Some might say they were on a mission to join SpongeBob at the bottom of the sea (because pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza, Yada, yada, yada). But hey, no matter what people say, that's a flavor combo worth celebrating!
Moses gives this local pizza joint two thumbs up, and I couldn't agree more. Go on and savor...
Read moreI will start at the ordering process. The ordering process was very difficult. I repeated my order four times and it still was not completely correct. The lady that takes your order, her English is not the greatest, and she was not paying attention. She was complaining about the other phone ringing and her background was loud. However again I did repeat my order four times. Now moving on to the actual food. I ordered two pizzas and I asked for one to have spinach on the whole pizza and half of it to have chicken. Instead we got a half and half pizza. My pepperoni pizza, the pepperonis were not evenly spread. I order the buffalo wings and they were okay, nothing to write home to. I also asked for ranch but instead I got blue cheese. The pizza crust was good and the cheese was good. As for my recommendation, I wouldn't come back here again just because for two large pizzas and eight buffalo wings, it was $67. So for me at that price, it was not worth it. There is better pizza around town. I gave this place three stars because my aforemention details about the pizza crust and the cheese were decent, and the order was 90% correct. Oh and the pepperonis did not taste that good, mediocre. This is a honest review, so I am not sure how this place got five stars from the most...
Read moreOur business is fairly new to the area and we wanted some great pizza, I had ordered a Calzone from here before that was delicious so I thought we would try the pizza using delivery. I ordered a 14" Gluten Free Pizza with Peperoni, black olives and mushroom, an 18" Thin Crust Pepperoni and Sausage and a 16" Thin crust Pineapple, Canadian Bacon & Jalapeno . We received a Gluten Free (Just Pepperoni), and the other two were right on the toppings but were not thin crust. Ok, a mistake was made, I get it nobody is perfect so I called to let them know of the mistake just so they could learn from it. The person was rude, put me on hold twice, said he was putting a manager on who argued with me that I got what I ordered and insisted that I did not order thin crust nor did I order the other toppings on the Gluten Free, I was shocked. I had already told them I wasn't asking for anything just letting them know the mistake and had my e-mail receipt in from of me. Terrible customer service, although the pizza was delicious. There are other places around here so next time I will order from somewhere else. 5 stars for the Pizza but 1 star for the customer service so it added up to 3 stars. Have...
