Decided to try Aceituno's as they are across the street from Aliberto's. We wanted to use the outdoor seating and drove in through their driveway. Immediately we noticed there is no customer parking as it is tailored for drive through traffic only. We did park off pavement and walked to the walk-up window. The menu was posted next to the order window, and we ordered a fish taco plate and beef tongue taco plate. The order taker was nice, but she had a hard time understanding English. The food was prepared quickly and soon we had the meal. We did complain that the menu board was misleading and pricing was not accurate. We spoke to the owner on the phone, and she did refund the overage and vowed to correct the menu board. When looking at the dishes, we saw that the tacos were street tacos and very small. The fish taco had the smallest size fish stick I have ever seen. The sauce was a ranch dressing, which made the street taco bland. The refried beans were blended smooth to a paste consistency, and a small amount of cheese was on top. The taste was less than average. The Mexican rice was average. The beef tongue street tacos were also bland with very little meat. The price for these two plates with a large drink was over $36. In short, a low value meal with...
Read moreBetter read so you can find another mexican place to eat. I went here to have big burritos, I was told they had really good burritos and big! Well, that is a flat-out lie or these people have no idea what they are talking about.....well, the answer is both. I ordered 2 burritos, 1 asada and 1 california, then 2 tacos. I also asked if they had roasted jalapeño and they did but couldn't find a price on their little tablet. I waited about 12 min to receive my order(ibwas the only on Sunday at that time), and BTW, I ordered at the window. When I got my order I got back to my car and proceeded to grab my food. I grab these 2 skinny long things and 2 small plates (1 plate had the 2 tacos and the other the jalapeño). I open the wrapper and I say what...must be a mistake it looked like some kind of wanna be tostata, I said no way this could be the burrito...guess what it was..a really skinny burrito with barely anything inside...wow is all i can say. There was some potential, but overall, an epic fail. Believe me, this is the worst burrito I have ever put my mouth on, and I have eaten 100's over my span of eating mexican food. My bill was about 36$ (no drinks)...those dang jalapeño cost me $2.50 each 👀. Anyways, take a look a the photos and see...
Read moreDecided to give it a try, local radio pushing adds for them. Number one, no parking, you will need to infringe on other business properties if you need to park. Food was hot and ready for pick up, got the enchilada plate. Rice and Beans looked good and was probably the best part of the un finished meal. The first thing i noticed is the chicken had a taste of old, or reheated. And you need to cut back on the salt. Good grief, needed a gallon of water after that. To be honest i would say Taco Bell has better flavor considering what it is. In the world of Sous Vide and steam tables they could have figured out a way to cook and store their protein. I do a lot of BBQ, and Grilling. I do pulled pork and chicken all the time, i can bring back to service temp from the freezer and have a better outcome in flavor. I wont be back, sorry, the gorilla advertising on radio may keep you in business for a while but eventually time will...
