BUGS (over a dozen earwigs) found in out 2 plates of food. I'm not sure how this establishment has been able to reach a 4-star rating. Worst experience I've ever had.
This place was a disappointment, from the moment we placed our order. We waited for over 6 minutes just to place our order despite being the only customers, then we we were overcharged like $40 for 2 plates of ood seemed outrageous for fast food, and we probably should have just left and went elsewhere. When we received our food about 28 minutes, we went back to our hotel, and the experience only got so much worse.
Once we opened up up each of our plates. They looked as if they were just thrown into the to go containers. I had the carna asada chips, and they were drowing in an obscene amount of sour cream and dark brown guacamole.😒
We hadn't eaten all day, so instead of returning and complaining, we opted to remove the access. Once, I finally was able to locate the "nachos" after removing the ridiculous amounts of the sour cream and dark brown guacamole. Only to find 5-7 bugs throughout the entire meal. Upon noticing, I informed my partner, and he began looking through his beans and taco plate and found the same type of bugs earwigs in his as well.
We decided to place a call as it was 11pm just to notify the restaurant of the issues, but after calling several times, we finally got someone to answer the phone, only to be hung up on. We made attempts to call back, but no one answered. By this point, we cut our losses and decided to leave this review in an attempt to earn others to be cautious about dining here.
I would not recommend nor will either of us return to this establishment but just wanted to earn others and hopefully get some attention from local health inspectors to PLEASE REVIEE THIS RESTRAUNTS POLICIES ON PROPER FOOD SANTATION, AND PROPER...
Read moreThis is our favorite place to get Mex. I don't need to say much because this place speaks for itself, but I'm going to anyways. Absolutely delicious, consistent meals that are so filling and flavorful. Absolutely heaping portions and incredibly affordable prices. We can feed our 4 member family until they're stuffed (14 year old growing boy and my father eat so much) for 30-40$. Which is about what you'd be paying at any other cheapy nasty junk fast food joint like McDonald's or Jack In The Box.
The staff is so kind, there's a bit of a language barrier but that's absolutely the least of my concerns. They almost always repeat your order back to you and give you a receipt. They're absolutely awesome at helping you out if they accidentally miss an item or two. Most people freak out and get super toxic for small things like that, but I try to treat everybody with kindness and understanding especially when there's a language barrier.
Some of my favorite things to order here are their shrimp. Period. Shrimp tacos, fajitas, burritos, etc. Their shrimp is BOMB. Their asada fries are absolutely out of this world. Their rice is absolutely stellar. I could eat so much of it!! Their Piná Agua Fresca is seriously spot on and it's so affordable. They make a wonderful California burrito. It's seriously difficult to find something here that you just won't like. Their food is wonderfully seasoned and authentic to California Mexican food. Also!! Get extra sauce. You're going to want more. It's amazing. My favorite is their salsa verde, I don't typically like a lot of spice but if you do, my spice loving mother says their red sauce is super good!! They do awesome grilled jalapenos and pickled jalapenos and carrots.
I literally can't say enough good things about this place. Please support their business, they deserve it. Spread kindness...
Read moreI don't even know how this place passes a food inspector. Been here multiple times regretted every time soon as you walk in you will notice the heavy smoke in the air from the kitchen having awful ventilation almost to the point of choking on smoke of what they call carne asada and the rest of us locals call carne Este el gato. Prices are horrendous food is barely above industrial food for prisoners I can say that the servings are large due to the fact that most likely this is second hand food that they got from a local food bank. One person working inside most the time speaks no English pretty much just gives you whatever he thinks you said and somehow warming up this old food still take some 40 minutes which blows my mind. If this place somehow continues to stay open I will be absolutely amazed. I am almost convinced that this is a front for some local drug operation due to the fact that I never see anybody in there buying food or anybody in there in general and it's got to compete with let's say six or seven of the same similar food stores within a mile. Anyways save yourself the horrible issue that will come with trying to pass this food through your intestine and take my word for it Just eat...
