Simply Salad — Restaurant in Cerritos

Man I do not know why I keep coming back here.

The first time I tried this place, I ordered a salad in person and it was actually delicious. I got the Cobb salad and the worker recommended adding croutons and chipotle ranch dressing. It was awesome!! I was excited to make myself a regular at this place.

Since then I've ordered from them maybe about 4 or so more times and each time something has been wrong. When I order for pick up I order about 5 salads total.

The second time I ordered from them they forgot to add dressing to one of the salads. I messaged them and they said they would give me a credit for a future purchase--they did not.

The third time I ordered, I wanted to try the Steak Out salad. When I got home and opened it up, it had literally everything on the description except the steak. I went back on the website to make sure I didn't read it wrong. Maybe I ordered wrong or didn't add the steak or the steak was literally "out" of the salad. I called the restaurant to clarify and gave them my receipt/order number. They said they would issue me a refund and never did.

Finally, I wanted a salad and was still riding the high from my first time there so I ordered the Cobb Salad again. Not only did they not dress the salad, they mixed in brown avocado. Like someone just thought "it's all mixed in--no one will notice this absolutely browned avocado that I throw in." I normally don't mind a little discoloration but this looked unhealthy to eat.

My partner also mentioned the portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller.

I really enjoyed my first time here. But the slow and steady decline of my enjoyment and experience makes me really disappointed in a place I was previously very excited about.

On top of it all, the need to order ONLY via their app and pay ahead of time (as opposed to being able to call an order in and/or pay at pick up) just makes it overall not the best for me.

Now I have to find a new go-to salad spot because I do not plan on...

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!, i went here with high hopes first time so i really didn’t know how the salad bar worked, Hispanic cashier girl seemed high or hungover had to repeat my order 3 different times, till i kind of gave up and agreed to whatever, wait time was wasn’t too bad, i get called for my order I went to the pick up area and a asain girl with a stocky build and severe acne pretty much threw my order at me, i then requested a refund because i simply stated i didnt like how the customer service was which is a very valid reason to get a refund because at that point i had lost my appetite , the asain girl then made eye contact with a really tall African American lady with broad shoulders and they simultaneously said “call him” like if they were going to call someone to come do something to me. Whoever they called never answered, so i was forced to take my order, i tried reasoning with the young lady on how throwing someone’s order might come off rude, she said that’s how she handles orders because of her production time, the place seemed really unbusy for that kind a customer service, I was in total disbelief, I would maybe see it working at a Amazon facility throwing packages on conveyer belts but not how you go about handing someone’s food order, she then apologized and I accepted her apology, so in summary of my experience SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, unless you want to experience the WORST customer service, I was so disappointed I threw my food away and...

This is the first time in 5 years of being a local guide that I've ever given 1 star. This is my first and last experience with this establishment. When I arrived there were two people before me already waiting for their order. This is a subway style ordering, everything is right in front of them, all they have to do is put it in a bowl and give it. From the time I ordered until my wrong order was given took 30 minutes. A lady that came and ordered 15 minutes after me, got her order before me, a salad and two wraps. All I was ordering was one salad.

After me there ended up being around 10 people all waiting around. Right before I came here I stopped at Poke Bar across the street it took them 5 minutes max from start to finish, same concept to make the bowl. My daughter was in and out of there in 10 minutes.

Finally when he got some bowl he tried to give me and pass on, I noticed it had chicken and red onions. It wasn't even my order, or it was completely wrong. At that point I asked for a refund which he couldn't issue because the manager wasn't there. I left my name and phone number....noone called. I'm writing this review the next day, I gave them all afternoon and evening to fix the situation. Nothing.
