I gave this place sooooooo many chances over the past year. Either the portions are extremely small for the price, or I just keep getting bad luck with my cups of custard not even being filled halfway. $6 for 5 bites of custard + $1.29 for a dash of brownie bites???
Last year, I ordered a hot fudge brownie sundae. The brownie was cold/frozen and hard as a rock. I couldn’t even saw the brownie with a steak knife!! I messaged the company Facebook page and received an apology + some coupons for free small ice or custard, which I very much appreciated. However, every time I went back, I was disappointed.
One time, you go there and attempt to order a campfire marshmallow milkshake, just to be told they can’t make “custom” shakes… they can only do the shake flavors on the menu (vanilla, chocolate, or chocolate covered Oreo). The next day, you go back and attempt to order the same campfire marshmallow shake, and it is made no problem. Another day, you order a chocolate milkshake with Oreo, and receive a vanilla milkshake with Oreo. ANOTHER day, you ask for a fresh packed pint of custard rather than a pre-packed one, and are told they cannot do that, but they can freshly pack a quart for $13.99 instead. That makes absolutely no sense. It takes 15 seconds to dispense fresh chocolate custard into a pint cup and put a lid on it. Unless it is some weird company-wide policy strictly regarding packed pints?
I was the assistant manager for an Italian ice and custard shop in Maryland (with a 4.8 Google star rating), and I’d be so embarrassed if my employees were making this many mistakes. It would be helpful if there was better training amongst the staff so everyone could be on...
Read moreOrdered 2 things, a small sundae and a large concrete. Took about 15 minutes, messed up the concrete. They put hot fudge in it (didn’t ask for any fudge and it melted the ice cream) and they have the wrong size. 5 minutes in after giving our order and paying they handed us the concrete and asked if we had any other orders. I told them a small sundae with my toppings and I guess it was one of the managers(?) so walked over and asked if we paid yet and too look for the order in the kiosk. The Sunday they handed me was literally like a kids Sunday, I always get a small and I have never received one with so little amount of ice cream. I recommend just going to the one in...
Read moreSorry, but $7 after tax for a small 12oz shake is possibly the biggest rip off I’ve ever seen. Nowhere in the US would that be acceptable. I could get a shake twice the size made with real ice cream for a couple quarters more elsewhere. And to think you ask for tip on simply making it and handing it to me. Asking for a tip with no service involved leaves such a horrible taste in people’s mouths. How about paying your employees $13 an hour instead of $9, and don’t...
