We went into to get food to go and I misspoke and said that I wanted tacos and then when I corrected myself the individual helping me rolled his eyes and dumped the chicken back into the holder. I had no idea that i needed to prepare to give my order sans any mistakes least I be patronized...I'm questioning if I am in fact the customer at this point but alas I realize this is an environment where people maybe have their first jobs and are learning basic level customer service that should almost be an involuntary response because...manners, so I ignored it. Then I was told very bluntly flour is ok because I don't have corn? You don't have corn made? It's 7 o clock....you close at 10 that seems a bit presumptuous. The girl rolling the tortillas says after rolling her eyes, I can make some I guess (which I thought was nice, since I'm ignoring the attitudes at this point because I realize service with a smile is just really pushing the boundaries of expectations). I decide not to spend my money here so I refuse to order. My husband continues his order and asked for a little it of beans the girl who was distracted helping him lobbed on enough beans to feed a family of 5 and then proceeds to walk over to another employee who was on break so had every right to be sitting enjoying himself and decided she was gonna set up shop next to him and ask him for his number and gawk at him for the next few minutes instead of...oh I don't know making tortillas for the guests? My Husband was then informed that there was no grilled chicken for him either because apparently and unbeknownst to us there was some sort of drought or plague in Chandler that prevented resturaunts from being fully stocked. I get it I too once was raging with hormones and unable to concentrate and keep the attitude wiped off my face...I just chose to keep that at home or directed towards the proper audience, especially since I always wanted to keep my jobs and felt giving 100 percent at any job was something I could rest my head on. Apparently the customer service training at this location is either non existent or there is a severe problem that is causing it not to be retained. Either way I would take a close look at this...until something has been done to rectify this what I am hoping to be a rouge branch of cafe rio we will be taking our business elsewhere where the people serving us pretend that thy love their jobs and the customer matters...
Read moreOrdered through Uber eats. Not sure who to be disappointed at but both were disappointing over all... Unfortunately my quality of food order not to satisfaction for the price I spent .. Uber eats did switched drivers at the last minute for delivery after my food notifications said being prepared and then picked up and heading my way and that was a quick maybe 15 minutes after my order. Then New driver did take longer, maybe 10 minutes longer but the food was still disappointing.. Kids Taco plate order very bad... Rice beans and grilled chix taco extremely dried .. Taco was just a big flattened flapped over old greasy tortilla cheese crisp style with slices already cut in it on the ends like it was supposed to be for something else.. Maybe they cut the ends for the kids to eat it better but probably better not to because that doesn't make it a taco.. taco had little grilled chicken stuck to tons of melted cheese... The rest of it just big extra useless tortilla 🤷. My grandson tried it and did not like it.. And he loves tacos, Mexican food, chicken beans and rice.. The 2 tortilla soups were good by themselves but they didn't have any juices that make it a soup😣 .. The tortilla strips were very stale, the foiled wrap tortillas were already ripped kinda apart so you really couldn't eat the thick soup like a burrito using those instead of it being a soup .. Soup Tasty and good flavor so we just ended up heating up in a pan, crumbling tostino chips, sour cream, lettuce etc and made it more like nachos ...Ended up ordering pizza for my grandson, The kid taco chix plate wasn't what the picture was at all. It was unfortunately disgusting... The soup wasn't pictured perfect either but at least TG the thick chicken somewhat soup was still usable for a different meal! 👍.. Just be careful when ordering.. Pictures are...
Read moreI ordered the Shrimp tacos via the app at the east chandler location but was called a few minuts by the store manager saying they are out of shrimp and if Id like to supplement. I declined due to a dietary restriction and the manager kindly cancelled the order, no big deal. I order the tacos on the app which showed as available at this location of chandler blvd and everything went through and the app said it will be ready in 20 mins. I travel to the store go to the to-go counter and the cashier could not find ther order. He asks a woman who I will describe as short, unkempt blonde woman where the order is and it looks like she rebuffs him. She charges up to me seemingly annoyed saying "WE ARE OUT OF SHRIMP! YOU NEED TO GET SOMETHING ELSE." The woman glares at me and I ask her to cancel the order and give me a receipt which she throws at me and gets back to not helping the lone food prep worker and heads to the back of the store. Why couldn'tt she or another worker call me instead of wasting my time to not have the food that clearly shows as available all over the app??. I have to say I have noticed this location getting slower and slower, but never had such a rude experience at Cafe Rio. I instead got a meal from adelbertos across the street and they were kind and my order was made for my dietary needs. I will be deleting the app and not ordering from Cafe Rio again, the rudeness of the short blonde woman with missing eyebrows is not worth $15 for 2 tacos. There are far better local mexican and texmex food options. I feel this person ( I assume there is no way she is management) should work on her personality and receive coaching on customer service and having products available that customers are able to order on your app. What a...
