A gift card brought us here for dinner on this weeknight. Parking was wheelchair accessible, generous, and up front, and the lot was not full. The restrooms were clean, wheelchair accessible, and stocked. The dining room was 3/4 empty as we got there before an evening rush. We were seated right away. The menu has been upgraded with price increases and some favorites have disappeared. The 'Three for Me' menu selection is new since our last visit. A choice of salad or soup, an entrée, and a beverage, with upgrades in every category. My dining partner ordered off this menu: the 6oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, and a dinner salad. The mashed potatoes were better than most, and he said the steak was good. He is easier to please than me. I ordered a chili bowl and a chef's salad. The chili was a straight up disappointment. The only flavor was salt. Much too much salty. When I commented to the waitress, she said she hears that a lot, and she admitted it was canned. If this is a common problem, why is it allowed to continue? Alongside the chili, I ordered a Caesar Salad. That was also a disappointment. Caesar Salads are not usually made with what appeared to be a spring mix of greens, and what was served was the stem pieces of the greens. The house salad looked better and tasted better too. When it came time to pay, the waitress came by to assist us with the machine, as I said I didn't care to use it. Again, she said that most people do not like to use it, so she did it. She it required some questions. I refused to do this, so she answered them. If people don't like that either, why not adapt to what customers like? She was pleasant, but the policies are inflexible. That is a reason to not return, along with the...
Read moreAug. 2025 Been a few years. And it's taken a toll on this place. Downgraded from ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐....to ⭐⭐⭐. It's still convenient and being able to cash in CC points makes it easy. But. The cost cutting with this company has gone nuts. Rather than boosting the bill we've taken to lowering the quality- it's just that obvious.
Gone are the deep fried pickles. Gone are the onion rings. Gone are the dry rub ribs. And worst of all gone is the Street Corn.
I tracked that corn- it was on a stick and foil wrapped with a line wedge. Nothing better! But then. Over time- no stick, no foil, no lime...no corn. That's two primary cost cuts- supplies and labor. Now just roasting it seems to time consuming.
But wait... There Mac and cheese! And LOADED Mac and Cheese!!🤮 All that healthy goodness out of a mass produced cartin. So many things on the menu are mass produced now.
The people next to us ordered fajitas.... Remember when they used to come served on a sizzling hot Skillet drawing attention and wiffs of fresh food through the restaurant? Not anymore. Just a steel hot plate with no noise and no smoke. 😕
There was a time when Chili's was two or three stars easily above Applebee's. Those are the olden days.... Your gradually slipping into obscurity. I'm looking to pay MORE elsewhere. But I'm going to get much more also.
2017- Overall 5*....the kitchen struggles with anything mid rare but for the most part the place nails it for value. Onion rings are great, grass fed burgers awesome, the TexMex good and ribs worthy. Miss the carnitas tacos tho. This trip the broiler cook nailed it on the...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Worst customer service experience. Terrible business operations. I called before heading out to see if could be placed on their wait list because we have a four month old and going out is a lot harder now. The lady was very nice and let us know that we would be placed on the list so when we got there if there was a wait, it wouldn’t be too long of a wait. She said it would be about 20-30mins and we live right around the corner so I told her we would see her soon. When we got there, the hostess told us that we were never placed on a list because there was no wait so we would have to wait an additional 30mins on top of the time it took us to get there. She said because of the misunderstanding she would seat us next because they didn’t put our name on the list and I explained the whole reason we did this was because we’re not used to going out with a four month old. She then asked us to stand outside to wait. 30mins have passed and we still haven’t been seated. Multiple people around us were getting seated. The hostess then comes back out after 30mins of waiting to tell us that the misunderstanding was OUR fault and that we were going to be placed on the wait list which was AN ADDITIONAL 40mins!!! She said before the wait was only 30mins!! So technically the entire time we waited for a response they never put our name on the wait list! Terrible experience and they did not handle the situation...
