So my husband and I had gift cards to a completely different restaurant that was in the same area, only to find out that the place had closed permanently.................................. since the place that we had gift cards to was closed yet we really wanted Mexican food, we strolled on in to Manuel's and boy am I glad we did!!!!!

First thing entering the door we got greeted super warmly and made to feel like we were part of the family, the gentleman noticed I was wearing a dress and made a suggestion (after asking what our preference was of course) that there was a bit of a draft sometimes and directed our attention to a booth that would be draft free and we would be comfortable if that was our preference.............................. booth was PERFECT!!!!

Our waitress was so great, super attentive and helped my husband figure out what to order (hahaha the menu didn't have just basic chicken enchiladas like he wanted)...................... easily talked us in to their ultimate margarita, which was SO smooth and absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!

I ordered the seafood enchiladas and I couldn't stop eating them, creamy with just a hint of heat and stuffed with seafood goodness!!!!!

Service AND food was a perfect 10!!!!

Stopped in for lunch today. I ordered the senior cheese enchilada with rice and black beans. The enchilada and rice were very good. The black beans were fine, just nothing special. My husband ordered the combo chicken burrito and cheese enchilada with rice. He enjoyed the enchilada but was a little disappointed with his burrito. We should have asked when ordering if the burrito had a sauce on top, something he is used to at other restaurants It did not come with a sauce so he felt it was a little dry. He had only about 3 bites left, when our server finally came around and he could ask her for a little extra sauce. He was practically finished with the rest when the server returned with the sauce. When she arrived he asked how much extra for the sauce and she told him $1.90! He told her that since he was almost done now, he did not want the sauce and also felt that was quite high for extra sauce. She kindly took it back. He will know not to order burritos the next time we return. Unfortunately, our server was very slow in getting back to us when we asked for the check and never came back to get our payment. The manager took care of handling our payment. I did see other tables waiting for her also. Larry, the busman, was a very efficient worker. Came and took our plates, filled our iced tea and asked us if we needed...

This Manuel's is my absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant, hands down! The staff, from the busboys to the servers to the management are always so inviting and friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious and never appears or tastes like it's been sitting under a heat lamp until I order it. They actually make it fresh... just for me. And, if there's ever any issue, i.e. seating or something not quite right with the order, they rectify it immediately. My favorite combination is the Number 5: a delicious cheesy enchilada, crispy beef taco, and a huge tostada on a freshly made tostada shell, which I order "easy on beans and lettuce"... to make it easier to eat. Even then, it's still a large and satisfying tostada. I usually eat the taco and tostada there, and then take the cheesy enchilada to go... for lunch the next day.
