Hi! I am writing to review this McDonald's because I used to visit it frequently. The reason I am giving this location one star across the board is because I had a shocking unforgettable experience that doesn't want to leave my mind. It begins when I went through the drive-thru. I gave my order, paid and the worker told me to go into spot number one to wait for my food. When I went to spot number one there was already someone in the spot so I went directly to the left of spot number one and waited until they left. When the person in spot number one had left, I moved my car into spot number one. I waited 19 minutes and realized all of the cars in every spot has come and gone and I am still without my order. I checked my receipt for the time and then called the number to check if my food was on the way. I didn't get out of the car because I have 3 kids and two out of the three would need to be carried. When the worker answered the phone I began to tell them my dilemma of waiting outside for 19 minutes with my 3 children beginning to be irritable while waiting for the food. The worker replies with, "Which spot are you in", (Not an I'm so sorry for your wait, let me check on your order, what spot are you in?'" I reply with " I am in spot number one". The "worker" replies with, "no you're not"!!! I was shocked. I told the employee to let me speak to a manager. The employee (Amber) said I am the manager. I then asked to speak to another manager. She refused and then hung up on me. Again, even more shocked and frustrated this is even happening especially when I am supposidly speaking to a manager. So the next and only choice I have is to get all three of my children out of the car carrying two of them and lug them into the McDonald's to find out where our food is. When I get to the counter I spoke to another manager, who was very nice and apologized for my experience and also gave me a hotline to call. She had kind of mentioned that this has happened in the past with others complaining about this "manager" Amber. I called the hotline, and the HR lady was very nice and seemed to listen to my concerns. While I continued to wait for my food the "manager" Amber was walking out the door to bring food to the outside spots and I said to her, "you are very rude". Amber replies with, "I DON'T HELP LIARS". Now I am baffled. I shook my head and decided to call it a day. I truly believe that if you work in customer service you need to give customer service regardless of where you work. Being kind is free. If it's your job, you are getting paid to be nice. The reason I am continuing to write this review weeks later is because I hope that this will get to the owner of the location. I went back to the McDonald's drive-thru and I saw the same "Manager" Amber in the background of the window. This is disappointing to see. I would never want someone this disrespectful and childish representing my location of business, especially at a manger position. Hope this finds the right person to fix this mistake that could be losing many customers and possibly employees making working...
Read moreI’m a lifelong fatty who loves McDonalds and loves to spend money there.
Yesterday I ordered a small Strawberry shake with my meal (an additional 2 dollars for the upgrade) but they didn’t have ice cream.
No problem, I thought, and knowing that milkshakes are more expensive than mocha iced coffees, I responded that I would take a Large Mocha Iced Coffee instead.
The GEL on duty quite literally laughed in my face. As a former GEL myself, at the Alma School store, and as a GEL who took my customer service job very seriously, I was shocked at his behavior.
“No, my boy, you get a small for a small.” as he continued laughing.
Now sure, I did ask for a Large but that’s because milkshakes are more expensive than iced coffees. To be fair, the Large Mocha iced coffee is about a dollar more expensive than the small Strawberry shake.
But no, you couldn’t have that could you? Instead you give me a small for a small, and as you can see by the pictures, this means you ripped me off a dollar.
Let’s recap. I was ripped off. Laughed at. And called Boy.
So from now on, instead of coming to your establishment about 3-4 times a week on my way to work, I’ll stop by El Pollo or something instead.
But hey, at least you got to save your dollar and had a good time making fun of your guest while doing so.
UPDATE - Hey ya’ll! It’s been about a week since you stole my dollar and I just wanted to thank you.
In the last week, instead of stopping by McDonalds the five times I normally would’ve, I instead tried the following…
Dunkin El Pollo Loco Cheddars Chipotle
I went to Pollo twice.
Anyway, I normally would’ve spent about 25 to 40 dollars total in those five potential visits. I ended up spending around 70 dollars instead at those other places but it’s totally worth it so as not to be laughed at and ripped off.
I haven’t even stepped foot in any other McDonald’s locations either. I think you’ve cured me! I hope you’re enjoying my...
Read moreI honestly wish I could give this location a zero! And you’d think that by now I’d have learned my lesson and not use the drive thru anymore! Either way, how hard can it be for these young kids to do anything the way it should be done?
I used to like this location but apparently the crew has changed. Since we live close, we like to pick up breakfast at this location. Well, unfortunately the last several times we’ve gone, they have either made the order wrong, forget some of our order, the food has been cold etc.
This time we went and we used a code for a free breakfast sandwich and they kept telling me the code was invalid even though it’s from their app! Like really? I also had to repeat it several times, including to a woman who asked and it still didn’t work. Here’s the kicker, the reward on the app went away which means it was received and used!
So I just told the guy clearly and carefully specified, I’ll just take two Sausage Egg & Cheese McMuffins. And he asked me to repeat it again then when he repeated my order back, he said 2 Sausage McMuffins with cheese? I had to correct him or else I wouldn’t have gotten egg with them like a few times before when they’ve messed that up.
So I drove to the window and the kid had no clue how to find my order. He asked if I ordered something completely different. When I told him no that’s not my order, he asked if my name was someone different and I said no! I just ordered 2 Sausage Egg & Cheese McMuffins! Then he just looked at his screen with a blank stare! Finally I just told him never mind!
As we drove off, the code came back to my account! What a joke this place is! My advice to anyone reading this review! Don’t use the drive thru if you can help it. But I’m not even sure if going inside will make your experience any better!
Ok, my rant...
