Anita's used to be a go-to place, and about ten years ago, printed fancy menus with fancy prices, but the food was no better, and we quit going. What Anita's has retained from that era is a niche breakfast burrito trade. They open extra early, even with the reduced hours from COVID, and with a good variety of breakfast offerings, make it easy to order for pickup on the way to work, or a morning where mama is busy doing other things and would rather have breakfast delivered. There is nothing fancy here. And there is the usual pedestrian beans and cheese that cover up the other ingredients. However, there is enough variety, and they have a remarkably flexible and efficient online ordering capability, one may craft pretty much any desired combination in a wrap. And they do a great job of serving food fresh and hot; a most satisfying way to start most any morning. And the breakfast offerings are a much better value than dinner, so it's easy to be a repeat customer. It is common for workers at local offices to be treated to a large bag of assorted burritos to mark some occasion - it's that easy and good. Works for them, and works for...
Read moreMultiple experiences of rude treatment. I recommend any other Anita's, or a separate restaurant chain altogether. I pulled into the curbside pickup, called the number, and was told to come inside. When I asked if they did or didn't have curbside pickup, the lady on the phone said something unintelligible and hung up. When I called back 5 minutes later, the manager answered. I asked if I was going to get curbside delivery, and he told me I could either come inside or visit the drive thru (which is normally used for ordering). When I asked if he had a sign or some sort of postage so that people wouldn't waste their time pulling into curbside he said "No, there's no sign but we're only doing walk-in or drive thru, we're very busy right now." Keep in mind I can literally see inside the windows, and there are multiple servers joking and playing around, and even 2 were taking a selfie. I told him as much and that I wouldn't come back because of how rude they were, and he said "That's fine." Wow. That's some fine customer service. This isn't my only time receiving poor treatment from this Anita's. I will not be going back to...
Read moreThis is one of my all time favorite places to dine. They have a great menu and the staff always does a wonderful job. First off, I was a big fan of Anita Bryant, so I'm not an impartial reviewer. I loved Florida orange juice. They have a fantastic breakfast menu, but I rarely eat breakfast. I almost always get the Carne Adovada. This is a perfect meal. The pork is well marinated and cooked. The refried beans are of ample portion. This mix of meat and gaseous vegetable is critical. The tortillas and rice provide a proper binding agent for proper digestion. After a wonderful meal you can expect leaving a most proper BM sometime later. The gas from the beans is just right. There is enough gas to propel the solid waste but so much as to cause a major detonation. The binding agents, the rice and tortillas, produce perfectly formed missiles that create a satisfying splash not unlike an Olympic diver hitting the water from the high board. I can't recommend this place or this meal highly enough. Five stars. This is Bubba "Big BM"...
