Buon Appetito New York Pizza — Restaurant in Chantilly

Boun Appetito New York Pizza is an independently owned business. The restaurant is located in Chantilly, VA, by several competing food services. It was my first time coming here in my travels, and this is what I learned. First, the restaurant had a New York Style Italian restaurant atmosphere. Doe done it might be overwhelming; however, you'd have to have lived in New York to understand why it is appealing to many visitors. The restaurant isn't huge but has seating to accommodate anyone looking for a cure of the outside or a slightly cozy area by the ovens and kitchen. I went to the front with the cure outside in particular because it was overcast, and the sky looked beautiful. I ordered the tortellini with meat sauce, which came with a loaf of garlic bread and a salad. The salad was a mix of raw sliced carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes with the house oil and vinegarette. This first course was so good that when the main course arrived I was disappointed because I really y enjoyed the salad. The tortellini was cooked to perfection, and I know because I make a mean tortellini with bacon and sur cream and spinach sauce. So the competition was on. The plate boasts a hefty serving of tortellini covered with mozzarella cheese and meat sauce. The first bite indicated I was going to have a run for my money. This Meaning, I would have another Italian favorite and a place to frequent when I feel like eating Italian. The did was great. The tackle service that brought my food added to the overall enjoyment of my experience. The staff was attentive and provided insight as there were busy times during a normal day. I fortunately came by when the lull was cresting to afull- blown customer visit. I was able to eat my food with a coke and a healthy appetite, which is important if you come here. You'll receive great service food food, but have a hard time leaving because you're going to be stuffed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a New York Style Italian...

We love the pizza and other food here. Been going here for years. .........but, today I ordered garlic knots and two slices of pizza. After one employee took out my knots and put them in the oven, another worker went reload the bowl of garlic knots which were already cooked, with more cooked ones, so he got his bare hands, without gloves, and overly hairy arms, he just grabbed as many as he could all the way up to his arms with garlic butter all over his hairy arms and dumped them in the bowl that was on display so it would be ready for the next customer! I couldn’t believe he did that in front of me! I have hairy arms and his looked like he could win a hairy arm contest!!! Poor sanitation. I felt like canceling my order.... but I didn't. Just won't go back there. While he was doing this, he sneezed right in front of where there were two fresh hot pizzas that just came out of the oven. So, first thing I thought was, that's very poor sanitary conditions for the rolls, the sneeze you can't avoid, but it definitely got all over those pizzas that were right in front of him. He could have sneezed away or on the floor instead also…. Just sayin….seemed like he had no concern or training in food place sanitation. They might want to wear gloves so they don't contaminate the food and possibly have a sneeze /fly/bug/shield blocking contaminants, etc., from getting on exposed food. Again, I love their food but didn't like what I saw today and the workers didn't seem to have any issue with that. this message is for management--hopefully they do something about that cause I like the place and don't want to stop going there for something so easy to fix.

Update: I have been back in 2025, and watching to see if they are being unsanitary and management please train your staff on cleanliness and food safety!!! I want your store to stay open and have good business since the...

For my first time being here, it was not a good experience! The customer service was horrible, im assuming the older guy is the owner or manager, but he was looking at me the whole time and judging me behind my back to one of his employees and the food is over priced and in my opinion as a professional chef, not of a very good quality for what you get! I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and a cannoli and fountain drink and it came to almost $16.00! I could have gotten two medium pizzas, a 2 liter soda and dessert from pizza hut for that!! They took 2 slices of cold premade pepperoni pizza and put extra cheese on top and reheated it. This was the worst pizza ive ever had! The pizza crust was burnt! What should have been done is a whole new pizza should have been made and then two slices cut from that and given to me and they put the rest of it up in the glass to sell. Its a common order, so it would have sold. They charge $5.55 for 1 small cannoli! I can get 2 nice sized cannolis at paizanos for a little over $3.00! I regretfully...
