Best place I ate in Charleston! Very chill lunch place with absolutely amazing food. Went there with my brother, sister in law and boyfriend and everyone’s food was amazing. My brother got the chefs choice for the day which he thoroughly enjoyed. Me and my boyfriend went back again a day or two later and the food was even better!!! Service was always good but sometimes a little slow and nothing extraordinary.
The food: Chicken cutlet sandwich (Parmesan) 4/5 A chicken parm sandwich that was delicious. My only gripe was it was a little plain. Would have been better if the chicken was more seasoned.
Patty Melt 4.5/5 Genuinely very tasty with perfectly sweated onions, melty cheese, tender patty, and crispy bacon. The reason this doesn’t get a better ranking is because the thousand island type sauce was way too overpowering. Very strong flavor that totally overshadowed all the other bits which were so good!! Like some bites I couldn’t even taste the bacon or cheese it was just straight up thousand island. I tried to scrape some off but it was to no avail. Would have been probably the best patty melt I ever had if it wasn’t for the sauce.
French dip sandwhich with au jus 5/5 This is what my boyfriend got both times and good grief was it good. Au jus added the perfect little extra taste. The meat was tender and flavorful and the cheese was perfectly melty and creamy.
Fries 5/5 Genuinely really good fries at least to me. Crispy and fluffy on the inside. Little less salty than I like but I just asked for a bit of salt and pepper and they brought it which was great.
House chips 4.5/5 I’m not a big fan of house chips (pretty much their homemade potato chips) but these were pretty good! I never got it with my meal but I tried some of my brothers. They look very appetizing and have a lot of seasoning but they don’t tastes too strong at all. Just a little sweet and salty like a very light bbq flavor.
Reese’s ice cream 4/5 They make their own ice cream and I believe their flavors change but the time I went, we got this ice cream with a fudge center and Reese’s pieces flavor. The ice cream was very light but hard. Seemed like a whipped ice cream. The texture wasn’t the best and there was a huge hunk of fudge in the middle. My boyfriend said the peanut butter in it was the Reese’s peanut that you can buy? But I’m not sure. Anyways, we ate all of it and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. I wish I had tried another flavor to see if the others were any different.
I have a relatively sensitive stomach but none of the food made me feel bad at all. No tummy aches or...
Read moreSandwiches were atrocious (I wish I could use more "colorful" words). The shrimp app was sexy and delicious (relatively). It is reminiscent of every restaurant that had attempted to make a name at this address. The service was great, but everything past the appetizers was an insult to my palate. I would rather spend my money at a Taco Bell or McDonald's. To preface my previous statements, I am a trash human being, and I've eaten out of a real trash can and had a better experience (From 2017 to 2020 I was actually homeless). I literally enjoyed a half eaten gas station hot dog out of an actual trash can more than I liked the TWO sandwiches I ordered. How is a reuben tasteless?!? Why would you water down au jus(i also got a french dip)??? My ex-girlfriend and I got back together because we had a casual dinner to discuss our future and how to split our assets, but alas, our bond was restored by how terrible the food was. We hadn't had such a heartfelt connection in 8 months. I hate your food, but thank you for bringing me back to the love of my life. ( 5 stars because my girlfriend and I have reunited and we're...
Read moreWe ordered online two beet salads and several entrees. Because one of us has a nut allergy we called ahead to be sure the salad had the type of nut which is okay to eat. We were told the salad only had walnuts which is acceptable. To be fair, they offered to put the nuts on the side but since we only thought there were walnuts, we said it would be okay for the walnuts to be on the salad. We picked up the food and went home to find that the beet salad also had cashews which our one family member is allergic to so she could not eat the salad. Those of us who could eat the beet salad agreed it was just awful. The dressing was watery and tasteless and the beets had some strange flavor and texture. They may have been pickled but just had a weird flavor. We ditched the rest of the salad. The turkey rueben was way too salty and mediocre at best. The eggplant parm was bland. Overall the meal was pretty bad. I tried to call the restaurant to let them know about the nuts and over the course of two hours kept getting a busy signal. We won't be ordering from this restaurant...
