I was recommended to check this restaurant out after the spot next door (Bodega) closed their kitchen after a busy day. It was an error on my part for a, regrettably, late lunch.
I went next door and browsed the menu online while standing around in the very new, very cool eatery. In the process of browsing, I noted a couple leaving quickly and seemingly upset. Shortly behind them I observed an employee quickly follow them and asked them not to leave and apologizing for the issue. After a brief exchange, the couple rightfully upset, the employee (determined in the exchange to be the manager) asked them if they could make it right and to sit tight. After waiting, the couple was visited, separately, by a server/bartender and the same manager and presented with additional condolences, a gift card, and more assurances that they wish them to come back and would ensure their next visit was special. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any of the employees' names. The manager was seemingly very sincere and earnest in her approach to make everything right and to extend every generosity she could.
It seemed to me that this was just an unfortunate mishap in the early days of a new business/location on an unusually busy and warm Friday in February. So disclaimer I didn't actually eat here....but I have not seen that level of earnest hospitality in quite a few years, if ever. The location was great and atmosphere was very fun and is sure to continue to have lots of patrons.
So, I beg your pardon for the long "review" though I felt it appropriate to appreciate good customer service and hospitality when it's observed. I have full intentions of giving this company my business upon my next visit...

I WAS COMPLETELY ALIENATED AT THE FRONT DOOR.
Mid-August 2023, at about 4pm in the afternoon (daylight hours), I tried stepping inside to take a firsthand look at the place, when a bouncer ACCOSTED me for my ID, and I promptly told him I wasn't drinking that early in the day, and simply wanted to have a look at the place, and the menu.
Yeah, I know, even as a early-to-mid FORTY-SOMETHING, I TOTALLY look like I'm still 14 or so after I shave...EXCEPT THAT I HADN'T BOTHERED TO SHAVE THAT DAY.
That's when he directed me to a menu posted on an outside railing of the deck; why not just tell me you don't want me stepping inside the place?
As you can imagine, I decided to not even bother looking at the menu, and take my business elsewhere; plenty of places in downtown Charleston where I DON'T get accosted for my ID, BECAUSE THEY CAN TELL HOW OLD I AM BY LOOKING AT ME.
Dear Sharehouse, YOUR BOUNCERS ARE THE PROBLEM, and several other reviewers before me have echoed my sentiments before I have.
P.S. I'm White, and the bouncer was Black. Black-on-White racism, maybe? I wouldn't be surprised.
EDIT: I HAVE E-MAILED THE OWNER AS THEY LEFT A MESSAGE AND TOLD ME TO, AND THEY...
Read moreWent to Sharehouse after going to the Children’s museum. Looked like a cute place to eat. Waited more than 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us and clean a table. It was 2 adults and 3 kids. We waited 15 minutes or longer after getting a table for someone to even bring us water. When we finally ordered, they didn’t bring the appetizer out and we had to inquire about it. The pretzel bites were super greasy! Not what I would expect for pretzel bites. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. The wrap didn’t have much dressing on it and was bland and cold! You could tell it had been sitting since the staff were busy talking to each other and ignoring the customers. It was not even busy for a weekday lunch. It took a while to get our waitress back to our table to ask for more dressing. My friend had the caesar salad which was drenched in dressing. Neither of us were fans of the Caesar dressing which had a strange taste. Overall I was not impressed. Super disappointed at how many staff members ignored our table. The food was not good and the service was awful. I don’t recommend it. Sad since it’s next to the children’s museum and looks like such a cute place. Definitely not...
