Vanessa Is Truly One of a Kind – Service That Goes Beyond the Table 💫
I don’t often write reviews, but after my recent experience, I felt genuinely compelled to recognize someone who went above and beyond in every possible way: our incredible waitress, Vanessa.
From the moment we were seated, Vanessa’s warmth, kindness, and grace stood out. She greeted us with a smile that felt sincere and welcoming — like she was genuinely happy we were there. And when she learned it was my birthday, she didn’t just offer the standard “Happy Birthday” and move on — she made it feel special. She wished me with such sincerity and took little moments throughout the evening to check in and make sure the night felt celebratory.
But what touched me most — and honestly brought a tear to my eye — was her compassion when I mentioned, offhandedly, that I had recently lost my pet gerbil. Without hesitation, Vanessa paused, looked me in the eye, and said, “I’m so sorry. That kind of loss is real, and it’s okay to feel it.” Most people would have brushed past it or changed the subject, but she didn’t. She acknowledged the grief with genuine empathy, and I can’t express how much that meant to me. It's rare to feel seen by a stranger, especially in the middle of a busy restaurant.
Beyond her emotional intelligence and warmth, Vanessa’s actual service was flawless. She was attentive without being overbearing, offered fantastic recommendations (the dessert she suggested was chef’s kiss), and managed to juggle multiple tables while making each guest feel like her top priority.
It’s easy to train someone to carry a tray or recite the specials — but you can’t train someone to care the way Vanessa clearly does. She has the kind of heart and presence that turns an ordinary dinner into a deeply meaningful experience.
Vanessa, thank you — not just for the great service, but for being such a bright, compassionate light in this world. The restaurant is lucky to have you, and so were we.
10/10. If you dine here, ask for Vanessa. She’s...
Read moreI have never left a review before, but our experience at this restaurant with the server Jarrod H was so bad that I feel obligated to leave one to save others from the same experience.
After we were seated, Jarrod told us that the tapwater was not to be trusted and begged us to get bottled water instead. Even after some of the members of our party refused, he continued to push it. He also conveniently left out that it was a $3 upcharge. After we placed our drinks order we saw all of the tables being served by other servers drinking the normal tapwater served at the restaurant.
It took 45 minutes from the time we placed our drink order for us to get our drinks at the table. Jarrod only brought water for individuals who opted for the bottled water per his recommendation.
It took 1 hour from the time we got our drinks for us to receive our food. Jarrod did not check on us more than once. He also forgot to bring us silverware and we had to seek out other servers to bring us the basic necessities for us to eat our meal, including water.
The food itself was bland and improperly cooked. It was brought out lukewarm and was just not enjoyable. Our entire party left behind half-eaten plates.
Jarrod refused to split our check at the end of our meal due to his laziness. He did not check on us much at all during our 2.5 hour ordeal, and he was rude when we asked for things. The table that was next to us was being served by another server. They were seated after us and left the restaurant before us, and their party was larger than ours.
I cannot stress how incompetent, rude, and deceitful Jarrod was. If you’re seated at this restaurant and your server introduces himself as...
Read moreSo many things to say: everything on Google is a breakfast place. Walk in and all the serve during dinner is pizza. But nothing mentioned online. So disappointment 1. Ordered drinks. Server was a nice lady for tx. Order a pizza and some pasta. Food came out at separate times. Most couples are trying to eat a meal together. Issue 2. Had to ask for our cocktail again. Issue 3 So they brought out a different one (free) and said the one you ordered will be right out. I had clear view of the bartender. Never attempted to make the drink. And ran around doing who knows. Issue 4. Alfredo with chicken. Fairly simple considering this tasted like a jar. It was just that. Small chucks of chicken. Assuming diced for the pizza. Barely there. Nothing to make to dish stand out. Or say restaurant quality. Issue 5 Pizza looked promising. The crust was the best part of it. The middle was so under done it was like melting dough. Issue 6. Ham and pineapple. The ham was so lacking which was odd considering they had no issue placing pineapple. It was like a pineapple only pizza. Issue 7. At this point the meal is over. Asked for the check. And it has the cocktail we never got. The waitstaff should know if they never got us the drink and removed it. But no. Had to get that fixed too issue 8. Looks like the place was under staffed and poorly ran. The bartender was incompetent at best. Should have made the drink immediately. When we got there was prior to any rush. Was highly disappointed. And post you only do pizza after what ever time. So...
