Forever Caught in History

Whenever we come to town our first stop is the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Center. We purchased a Gray Line City Tour/Fort Sumter Tour Combo from staff at the Visitor Center. However, when we arrived at the ferry dock after the city tour, they initially refused to issue us boarding passes, saying it was sold out and the boat was over capacity. Only after we argued and asked to talk to the manager did they agree to let the boat be over the Coast Guard Capacity and issue us Boarding Passes. There should be better communication between Visitor Center Staff and the ferry line before money is accepted and...

We visited there a couple of weeks ago but had a hard time with the electronic payment for parking. Then we were surprised to find a ticket on our car upon return from our walk to the Biergarten restaurant.. i had made a mistake indeed, resulting in a ticket. This was, however, so far not reinforced after I sent an email in. But we found the system not friendly and missed the life parking attendant. Its not every day that we go to downtown Charleston.
