Updated (7/2021): 4 stars. We had a reservation for a party of 6 at 8:00 pm on a Saturday in July. Sebastian was our waiter and he was great!

Here’s what we got: Sweet Potato Ravioli ($13): Amazing. Comes in a gorgonzola cream, but it tasted more like alfredo and parmesan sauce, which I liked! Chicken Biscuits ($21): It comes with spicy mustard, but I would’ve preferred a jam or jelly. It was just overall pretty dry. It also includes two wine cans, which seemed really random. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the mac & cheese. I wouldn’t get this again. Simple Salad with Tofu ($5.50 + $3.25 for tofu): I didn’t try this, but my dad really liked it. He said the tofu was grilled to perfection. Seared Ahi Tuna Salad ($15.25): This was the best dish, in my opinion. The tuna was perfect and it was perfectly dressed. Asian Tuna Burger ($15): Good! The seaweed salad made the dish. We got the potato cake as a side and that was delicious. Verlasso Sustainable Salmon ($21.50): I didn’t try this, but my mom said it was delicious!

For drinks, we tried The Vodka One and The Bourbon One. For $11 each, they were just okay. They were pretty simple.

I would definitely go back, I just wouldn’t get the Chicken Biscuit. Next time, I’ll get the Sweet Potato Ravioli as an appetizer and the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad as my entrée.

Original (1/2020): 5 stars. Amaaaazing! We had reservations for 4 on Friday at 8:45 pm during Queen’s Feast Week. We were seated right away. We had Thomas as our waiter, and he was wonderful.

For $35 per person during Queen’s Feast Week, we got a glass of wine, appetizer, entree, and dessert. It is an amazing deal!!

We got the Sangiovese/Red Blend and Syrah wines, and we liked the Syrah better.

For appetizers, one person got the Signature Hummus, while the other three people got the Baked Marinated Vermont Goat Cheese. The portions were huge, and probably all four of us could have split just one of them! Both dishes were delicious though.

For entrees, two people for the Sweet Potato Ravioli and the other two got the Grilled Hanger Steak. We enjoyed both!! Beware that the Sweet Potato Ravioli has gorgonzola cream, so if you’re not a fan of blue cheese, then it’s not the dish for you. For people who do like blue cheese and gorgonzola, it was incredible. The Grilled Hanger Steak came with Brussels sprouts, which were cooked perfectly.

We tried all the options for dessert: White Chocolate Brioche Pudding, Carrot Cake Cheesecake, and Callebaut Brownie. All were amazing. Our favorites were a toss-up between the cheesecake and brownie.

300 East is fantastic and I can’t...

Really nice atmosphere. Lovely part of dilwerth in a beautiful old home. Food wasnt the best. Ordered the rustic benidict. The hollandaise sauces emulsion was broken with a strange sour taste, the eggs were properly poached but the single peace of bread was choked by arugula to the point you couldnt tell what was underneat. Might be a pleasant surprise every bite not knowing whats next for some, but it was a lackluster experience. Their menu was attempting to have an elevated experience however what was delivered on it struck out terribly. Your local family diner food is what i would put this on par with. Not bad, but not what you are expecting especially in this location. Waitstaff however was not there. At first we were directed to a table wedged next to the entrance and another table (not much space to sit even with my chest pressed to the table and at 140lbs.. id be considered small for a male) but this request was met with an immediate eyeroll and a groan from the host. He obliged the request and moved us to a one of the many other open tables in the establishment. The waitress we saw twice. Once to bring us water and a second time to take our order. We ordered one dish each and simply water+coffee for drinks. Never saw her again. The runner was the only competent one and brought the food promptly and with accuracy. I finished my first glass of water roughly by the time the food came out, 38 minutes after our order was taken however our reservation was for right around 11am brunch so this might be their 'rush'. After a while i moved my glass to the corner edge of the table where it sat for 15 minutes empty as every single one of the 11 employees i could count for this tiny establishment walked within 2 feet of it at least 4 times on the way to or from the back where our table was placed next to. I noticed multiple tables directly next to us waiting 10+ minutes to even be seen by a server after getting sat. There is a very clear issue with direction at this establishment and i could not recommend it until it...

The restaurant is set up in a two story house with a basement (I think - one of the customers who came in asked if anything was available downstairs). We called ahead of time to reserve a table - we showed up and waited less than 10 minutes and were seated. We trekked upstairs to a tiny 2 person spot right against the window. We dined the night after snow maggedon and it was pretty chilly out and I felt the brunt of the draft coming through the window. I wrapped up with a jacket and still enjoyed the dining experience

Interior wise it’s very eclectic with a variety of shaped tables sprinkled throughout with vinyl table coverings upstairs (next time we’ll try to sit on the main floor where they have booths.

We started with the french onion soup served piping hot in traditional crock bowls with a generous layer of melted Gruyere—absolutely delicious, and we both polished off our bowls. For mains, my wife had the pork chop which was tender, flavorful, and of noticeable high quality (heritage breed pigs). Thankfully I got to nibble off the rest of the meat off the bone after my wife was done! I had the salmon - cooked PERFECTLY medium-rare as requested. Fatty, tender and nicely flavored with the soy glaze; paired well with the Carolina rice and the baby kale added a nice texture with some crispy edges. I devoured the dish quickly 😬

We also tried the special beef mac as a side but unfortunately, its overpowering taco seasoning clashed with our entrees.

For dessert, we shared the Dukes mayo Caramel Cake. While the cake itself was a bit dry, the whipped cream, caramel swirl, and praline nuts added great flavor and texture. I think warming the cake before serving would have made this a winner dessert.

The ambiance was cozy, and service was attentive. Aside from a couple of small misses, we had a delightful evening and would...

I love how this old home was saved and reused as a restaurant! From the outside, it looks lovely and wonderful! Locates right off east blvd. They do have parking in the back, though, so you don't have to try to find side street parking or anything like that. My husband made a reservation online, and upon arrival, we were seated immediately. Our quaint little 2 seater booth was very cute! Our waitress was amazing (failed to remember her name) she made great recommendations. We opted to get the potato soup for the day as an appetizer as well as their sweet potato ravioli. The potato soup was a big hit. It is topped off with croutons and very flavorful. Now, the sweet potato ravioli was not our favorite, unfortunately. The sweet potato inside was delicious but unfortunately they topped it off with so much cheese and the cheese cream definetly overpowered the sweet potato.we ended up scraping most of it off and once we got to the actual ravioli, we liked it. For our entries, we got the crab cake and salmon, VERY FRESH AND DELICIOUS! came with green beans mashed potatoes, marinated kale, and rice. The entres were delicious, and while the portions looked small, they definitely filled you up. We loved everything. From the ambiance, decor, and food, we will definitely be back and try other things on the menu. Definetly recommend this place whether a date nught or just with the family. Also, at first glance, this space does look small, and tables seemed very close together, but once we were sat, we felt we had plenty of privacy and did not feel squished against another table. There are plenty of architectural decor and pieces to look around while you wait. Definitely paints a picture of how the house was before.
