My wife and I ordered an appetizer and two meals along with hot saki and beer. Upon ordering the alcohol the waitress started laughing nearly hysterically, placing her hand to steady herself, on our table out of necessity, due to the humor of our order. We, haven taken notice, at the end of our meal, ordered another Saki. Neither of us wanted another, but we needed to see her reaction to be sure that, maybe we took it the wrong way. The waitress proceeded to roll her eyes, look down upon us and ask," Well, who is driving?" Never have we encountered a waitress so brazen, outrageous and rude that she actually found more pleasure in being rude to us, than accepting the tip on an order with more alcohol. We then informed her of her mistakes and critiqued her attitude. She proceeded to apologize over 11 times, clearly antagonistically. She was provoking a response with her apology, hoping we would play the part of the "angry drunk" patrons, who are clearly wrong in their assessment of the situation. Hence, slipping her way past accountability for her infantile and grossly inhospitable behavior. I assure you, unsatisfied nutritionally and certainly offended patrons we were, but not irrational alcoholics as she hoped we would behave. There was no manager, whom I promptly asked to see, on duty. The food was mediocre, at best, and no one offered anything, but a full bill and fleeting attention. A restaurant that employs such low creatures to service their food, cannot have pride in the food itself. Avoid if you have any dignity and...
Read moreWent during lunch and overall it was good. Not write home amazing, not fantastic, but simply a good small generic restaurant.
service: Seated quickly, service was quick, very few words from the women who took my order and not even a smile. The guy who seated me seemed friendly and the women who took my payment was also friendly.
food: I had the pad thai seafood combination and unlike most places they did a great job on the sauce. The shrimp and calamari clearly tasted frozen, and the calamari in particular was overcooked by a lot (so stick with the chicken, pork, or beef). The spring roll was a disappointment as it just had a bit of cabbage in it and nothing else with plenty of room, this meant that when it was fried oil could seep and and hold in. The soup was ok, mild flavoring, tasted like a chicken broth, and had a few small veggies in it with rice. Honestly, would just be better to cut those two items from the menu overall or as part of the special, better to serve 1 great thing then get it downplayed by something mediocre.
Atmosphere: the place is small but nice. I was able to easily get to my seat, but if you are a larger person or need a walker or wheelchair this may not be a good option. The place itself hard bright but fading colors, and clearly the place is aging, but holding...
Read moreI recently dined at Thai Taste, and I must say, the food was nothing short of phenomenal! The highlight of my meal was the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. It had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, with every bite bursting with authentic taste. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the combination of tender chicken and succulent shrimp made it an unforgettable dish.
However, I feel it’s important to mention that the service was a bit lackluster. While the staff was friendly, the service was somewhat slow, and we had to wait longer than expected for our orders. Additionally, getting the attention of our server for refills or additional requests was a bit challenging at times.
Despite the slight hiccup in service, the incredible food more than made up for it. I highly recommend Thai Taste for anyone craving authentic and delicious Thai food. With a bit of improvement in their service speed and attentiveness, this place would be absolutely perfect. Overall, a solid 5-star experience for the food and ambiance, with room for enhancement in the...
