This is a fairly new Bojangles! The customer service was horrible. The young man at the cash register did not know what he was doing.
I ordered a 2 piece (I'll find the receipt), I forgot to add honey mustard and asked for it to be added. He stated that he already hit total after asking cash or card.
He asked the slim, loud older woman with colorful hair to add it, she ghettly said did she pay for it, I responded by saying that I asked him but he said it was too late. She advised me that the next time I need to tell him before he hit total...
Please tell me how am I supposed to know that they can not comprehend how to do an add on? I can assure you that I have absolutely no problems paying fifty plus cents for what I want!
I could tell that she was used to acting crazy and non professional because she did it as though it was correct and everyone else just went with it.
I was surprised that a manager (short ~5'7 black man) was there and she was behaving such. Bojangles in Charlotte are known for their hoodness and unprofessionalism!! Proper training could have sales flourishing! I do not repeat restaurants with poor service.
I gave the food 2 stars because my fries were horrible, but the chicken was crunchy, it was ok.
1 for the service because of the issues above.
1 Atmosphere could have been better if the employees were more welcoming and calmer. Their hood mentality followed them to work. The floors and dining room was clean; probably because of the attitudes.
They also play a lot and mocked people at the drive-through as they ordered. The manager lacks control of the staff.
Lastly, if you do not believe anything that I say, randomly watch the cameras or just come in and order to see how they are. Remember you do have competitors and I will pay for great food and...
Read moreSomething happened at this Bojangles restaurant this evening that shocked me to my core.
I ordered a two piece with fries. The chicken was good. The fries were good. But I'm not writing this review about chicken or fries.
Allow me to give a bit of background before I share this experience. I am a biscuit man. Biscuits are my jam. I live and breathe biscuits. So I do not share what I am about to write in a flippant way.
I was served The Best Biscuit I have had in memory at this restaurant tonight. The biscuit was as close to perfection as it could be. Cooked to flaky, steamy goodness consistently all the way through. Salty and buttery on the soft crust.
I asked to see The One who crafted The Biscuit. From the back emerged Cooper, the Biscuit God. Cooper had flour on his apron and a knowing look in his eye. He knew what I was there to say.
As I poured out my gratitude and awe at his skill, The Biscuit God raised his hands to quiet me. The Biscuit God downplayed his greatness but I could not let it go.
This was the kind of biscuit that makes all of the bad biscuits worth it. It is necessary to experience stodgy and undercooked, or dry, burnt excuses for biscuits because, by getting through these, one can finally experience true greatness of the biscuit craft as I did tonight.
The trash cans were overflowing, the bathroom was filthy, and the whole place could use a good cleaning. But The Biscuit caused all of that to pale in comparison to its greatness and made this one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had recently.
Cooper, The Biscuit God, is a gift to humanity. When you are in Charlotte you must stop by to experience his...
Read moreI came in around 11:06-07AM on 9/13/2025 to order from the kiosk a Bo-Sized Chicken Sandwich meal with 2 fixins-Mac/cheese and fries with a Starry (Order #807). I hold this first location very close to my heart as a foodie, historian, and Charlottean. I've visited it pre-remodel and post when Mayor Vi Lyles bestowed them with the historical marker in the early 2020s. But today was EXTREMELY telling about locale affecting its service (We know how rough West Blvd/South Tryon is). There were SEVERAL customers who had issues with their orders en route to mine. Also, many prior to me and more hurtfully, after me received their orders to little or full completion. What pained me the most was watching the manager prepare orders behind the food kiosk with me in watching view. I've never felt so ostracized as others approached the kiosk for Doordash orders, dine in/take out, and drive-thru corrections with me still astonishingly standing there. I approached the young man in the front with my order number, described meal, and name to let him know what I've been waiting on for 50+ minutes. I received my order at 12:05PM with no proper apology or acknowledgment. A wrong was done to me and I would...
