First time experiencing the restaurant and it's because my niece wanted to come because it was her birthday but, if in the area, I would go back despite the service we received. Yes I know you see that I have 4 stars for service but, the service of our waitress was, very disappointing and aggravating. We literally came in and was told, it was a 45 min wait. Luckily, about 15 min later, we were told we had a table. We sat down, our waitress finally came and took our drink order which we received promptly. She came back a lil while later and seemed misunderstood. Like she came back and stood there and then she asked was we ready to order. We did order our food but, it was like they had to go kill the chicken, cow, salmon and pick the fries from the ground. It was ppl that came in after us and they had to go boxes before we even got our food. I told my daughter, she may have thought we already finished our food because she never came back to update us on our food at all. After we ordered our food, the next time she came to our table, she said your food is coming up shortly but the person that brought out food was literally steps behind her. At this point, we thanked the person that did bring the food out. Our initial waitress then came by and asked did we need anything. Now, this is where the service got better and not because of our initial waitress. The young lady that brought out food out, we seen her attend to the table behind us and sounds like because it was a problem with their order. I say that because she kneeled down with pen and pad, walked off and later came back with extra food when the table already had food. We asked the lady before she walked off for things because, our waitress was nowhere to be found. She ended up getting us stuff before we left like boxes and we even had paid her because the absence of our waitress. The service we got from the unknowing waitress, made up for the actual waitress.
Now onto the food when we did get it. The food was good. Fries were just right, potato was tender and fluffy, tenders were tender, BBQ sauce added a kick and was kinda sticky(isn't bad), honey mustard sauce taste similar to Sweet baby Ray's honey mustard, steak was medium well and juicy but, the char on it, it was overpowering.
My sister had the salmon which she said she liked, the potato she had looked totally different from mine even though she had the same stuff, her cheese looked like it was just stacked and not scattered like mine, didn't have any sour cream on it whatsoever, her broccoli and cheese was good to her.
My daughter had the tenders and fries. She didn't too much like the fries because she said it wasn't any or much seasoning on them.
My niece had the tenders and ribs with corn off the cob and potato. She was raving about the corn.
Atmosphere was good. Low light, relaxing with giant fan things in the ceiling and a fish tank to admire. Didn't notice any music at all...
Read moreI know it was the first Sat after Christmas and expected it to be slower, but our experience was over 2 hours from being sat, to getting 1 round of drinks (non-alcoholic) with the croissants (honestly just bring drinks out and then croissants), to order placed, no refills during wait, we asked waitress and she said she wasn't sure if we wanted refill now or when she brought out the food?? (dumbfounded, first I've ever heard of this in the keep my sweet tea full in the South sweetheart), to getting served food by someone other than waitress, and our 1x refill after food was brought out by someone other than our server who never checked on us. This pic shows where my food did not arrive with rest of table's service. Someone other than waitress brought our food out and my food was just chicken tenders w buffalo sauce. We were in a booth and the waitress eventually brought my food separate handed my plate across the table and I burned my hand receiving my meal from where my portion of the plate had been under the heat lamp. When I nearly dropped my plate, the waitress never said sorry but that her end of the plate was not hot. No emotion. No sense of urgency. No sense of care for our dining experience. It was literally take our order, bring it out and then the check and each step of the meal took 15-20 min intervals. Order, drinks w bread, salads no refills, then 4 out of 5 meals still no refills, my food, then refills, then check, then wait on her return for signing for our check... we were sat in rear of restaurant and there was a larger birthday party being served by a different waiter. I am not one to complain and I was with family so I didnt want to show out. It was uncomfortable because we all felt like something should be said but we wanted to give the server the benefit of the doubt that it may have been the waitress' inexperience or poor training. But we couldnt even talk to the manager because she was already talking to another table in our section being served by the same waitress, who were sat after us. We were using gift cards and could have gone to Olive Garden or Long Horn like 5 other places instead. Lesson learned. We only had a party of 5. We ordered 2 waters and 2 sweet teas and an Arnold Palmer. Either train staff better or at least find folks who treat people the way they would want...
Read moreDo not order the steak here. Don't even come here unless you have time for constant wrong orders and unresponsive managers. I went to Cheddars 10/29/2024 for my 21st birthday dinner with 2 close people. We weren't expecting anything big or exceptional service, we just wanted something quick since it's a Tuesday. My boyfriend and I ordered a steak each at 8:10 PM, both MEDIUM. They come out COMPLETELY rare, you can literally see it's purple. That's fine, we're very forgiving. We notified the server and asked kindly for it to be remade. The steak comes 20-25 minutes later, this time completely cooked fully. Well done. We notify the server again, and apologize for seeming "needy" and "picky". We told the server about it and she said she would talk to her manager. She comes back and then says that her manager would "take it off but is there anything else we could do?" Well we still wanted the steak; we were still positive at this point. We told the server we wanted the steak remade but this time to-go if possible because we were hungry. She brings out the steak 20 minutes later and after checking, and one of them was well done and the other was medium-well/well done. They were both also missing the sides we never got to eat. At this point, we have given up and just wanted to go home. The server apologizes and shows us the check, to see there is no discount to compensate our two hours at the restaurant for two unsatisfying meals. It felt weird having to ask for a discount (given our experience), but I asked anyway because I didn't want my sister to pay $100 for this experience. The server says she would have to grab her manager, to which we say that's totally fine. After 15 minutes, she comes back to tell us that the manager applied a 10% discount on the check. 10%? For two hours and never getting two simple medium steaks without any drink refills? $9, that's it? Again, we are very forgiving but the manager didn't even want to come and talk to us personally the entire time we were there. This is very unprofessional for a restaurant to do, especially because it wasn't even busy for a Tuesday night. Save yourself the time and mental state and just go to the Chili's right beside...
