12/6 - One of the worst experiences Ive had at a restaurant from start to finish. Took the 25 minute drive to return the food ordered and picked up earlier because the ribs were burnt to a crisp and I mean visibly charred and hard. I called in advance to inform them but the manager I asked for never came to the phone. Called back and got the manager who either didn't understand or wasn't concerned because he asked me to hold and eventually a young lady came on the phone and told me I could come in to get my missing sides. Was greeted by the hostess at the door who took us to a booth and asked if we wanted anything to drink and we requested a cocktail while we waited. She stated if we wanted an alcoholic beverage we would have to move to the bar and walked us over to a spot. We sat at the bar and the bartender with the blonde and pink wig (believe her name was Porsha) yelled over from the other side “they ordering drinks?” I nodded and said yes we would like to …. She cut me off and said “im not talking to you Im talking to her” and pointed to the host who said yes they are and then walked towards her to try to explain we were waiting on a remake. The bartender was clearly upset evident in her very loud tone and abrasive attitude towards the hostess who stood quietly. The bartender then stormed off to the back. The hostess came back over apologized, tried to move the dirty glasses and napkins from previous customer and reviewed our order for clarity. Malika was polite and tried to recoup this repeatedly missed customer service opportunity. She walked back and was stopped again by the bartender and a conversation ensued and the host returned and said the bartender stated if we were ordering food we could move to a booth. I declined and maybe that was the reason the bartender NEVER EVER came to serve us. She never wiped the area or asked us if we wanted some water though I tried to get her attention on several occasions. She just acted like she didnt see us. Another bartender came over and said “yall ordering drinks?” I mean its just comical at this point because yes we are. She made our drinks and that was the last we saw of her so we drank on the melted ice when they were finished for the rest of the meal. Meanwhile we watched Porsha greet others, make their drinks, ask them if they wanted another, have conversations, close checks and smile at everyone else. It was the host who repeatedly checked on us that provided me with a glass of water, silverware, napkins, asked if the food was correct and at the right temperature when it came and anything else I needed because clearly the bartender did not want us there and she made that very clear. Her attitude was so off putting we didnt finish eat and decided to leave which we thought she would have been glad at jumped at the opportunity but to get my check was an ordeal because again after multiple attempts to get her attention she continued to ignore us and I finally got up walked to the front and asked the host to ask her. The host came back over to me and informed me she stated when she was finished cleaning up the other side of the bar she would take care of it. To which I replied no we are leaving because we have sat here for an hour now dealing with your ridiculousness and you are unprofessional, rude and distasteful in your interaction to even think that was ok to tell a customer. Host returned to her and then she yelled from the other side oh they gotta fix your food thats why I cant do it. At this point ONLY because I have some component of decency and always settle my bills I didnt walk out. Waited again for the manager to eventually come out and fix my check that she slammed down on the bar. No words!!!! Fridays get that lady outta there as the level of comfort she had with treating and speaking to a customer in that manner is alarming. And I highly doubt the first. Malika is a GEM and underutilized. I hope this restaurant’s practices doesn't tarnish...
Read moreLiterally Jeffreia is the ONLY reason this review is seeing any stars. "Buckle up." My family came to town to pre-celebrate Thanksgiving (as we won't be together on the actual day). We chose this spot bc my sis in law & I love the fried green beans, while my (young) nephews can enjoy tenders and fries. We arrive, are seated and boom- nothing went as well as we'd like besides the great service our waitress brought to the table. I literally felt a shift- I ordered "From the grill" and yes the Chicken was DELICIOUS... BUT- the broccoli which was supposed to be butter garlic was drier than ashy feet in the desert. I had to use the green bean dip to give it life. Speaking of the green beans they were mostly burnt, but I ate them bc tbh it didn't taste terrible just over cooked. My side salad came out before my meal- COVERED IN CEASAR DRESSING... let's not forget I ordered something different and I was offered dips/ hummus which none of us could explain- so ceasar it was. Here begins the wait... My brother ordered steak and fries as well as Mozzarella sticks which all seemed to be fine. My sis in law ordered ribs and shrimp which were ok as well but her ribs were drenched in sauce - like even ribs have a limit. Shrimp she enjoyed as well but her mashed potatoes looked as bland as they tasted & we already know about the broccoli- (see above). As we waited, still no side salad remake - my nephews got tenders 3 yes 3 while they ordered 6 (or whatever the adult meal is), so we order JUST CHICKEN 3 MORE and recieved an entire 3 tender meal AGAIN. At this point- my salad arrives dressing on side as originally placed by our waitress and I enjoyed what I could and took the rest home. The dressing is strong- I can't even explain that better. Jeffreia was attentive, took our orders and constantly checked in no matter what the issue... as seen above quiet a few. She interacted as I like for waitresses etc to do to ensure the guests are having an exceptional experience. I did realize upon leaving (guy with fro asked for a review for himself... ) is this commonly asked? I would return solely for my chicken and fresh yes fresh fried green beans. They were harder than gizzards iykyk. The atmosphere was lack luster- we were in a huge back table. However- the kiddos had fun spending time and that's enough for me to stretch the star strength to give you 3 stars 🌟 ! Jeffreia if you read this THANK YOU for making the night fun and understanding all we asked of you. Kitchen crew needs a revamp - after reading other reviews this isn't the first of guests being disappointed. Lastly- STOP putting all that dressing on the salad. Last time I came I had the Ceasar salad (back in April) and I had to ask for more lettuce just to balance the dressing. Clearly this is why I asked for it on the side... but I digress. I'm very willing to update this in the future if I return and have a better experience. Until then- order with caution. Happy...
Read moreWe came in tonight for dinner, which we quickly learned was a mistake. Overall we essentially never got any service. Our waitress came over after about 10 minutes of us sitting there and took our drink order. We ordered 2 sodas and 2 espresso martinis. After about another 20 minutes the sodas came but the martinis weren’t served to us for a good 45 minutes. I would also like to note that the restaurant was not packed there were maybe 5 tables including ours. We ordered one appetizer and each of us got an entree (there were 4 of us). Our appetizer came after an hour of us sitting there waiting and it wasn’t correct so we had to send it back. When our food FINALLY came to the table it had been well over an hour and half and only 2 of the entrees were served and we were told that the other 2 would be out shortly. One of the entrees that we did receive was also wrong so we had to send that one back. Once we finally all got our food we ended up just asking the bartender for boxes due to our waitress being gone for extended periods of time. We asked for ranch with our food when we placed our order and received none with our food and had to ask for some multiple times. We ended up having to ask multiple servers to help get us ranch and the check. My friends dad had to go to the back even after talking to the manager to try and pay the bill. We also never got any silverware on the table and asked multiple times to the point where we had to go take some off another table. While all of this is going on it seemed like all of the staff was hanging out in the back instead of helping their customers. The table behind us were also experiencing similar issues and they were complaining as well for the same issues we were having. As someone who has worked as a server in the food industry I know how unacceptable it is to treat customers in this manner. Long story short I wasted 2 hours of my life and don’t recommend EVER coming here. Food overall wasn’t good, the drinks weren’t good, we got no refills, the worst service, and this restaurant could use some serious help in retraining some employees in...
