I would give 0 stars if possible. I ordered a burrito bowl and chips and guacamole from this restaurant and I was not only met with an unpleasant attitude and eye rolls through every step of ordering but I was also not given my change at the check out. I was giving the team member grace as we were nearing the holidays and I can understand that it can be stressful working in customer service this time of year. But by the time I made it to the register, no one was giving me any eye contact and since we are all required to wear masks indoors here, I didn’t realize anyone was talking to me until one of them (quite unnecessarily and shockingly loudly) “cash or card sir?” And I apologized and let them know that I have a hearing impairment. I then gave them cash and was given dollar bills but not any of my change (which was around .94) I politely asked if they had forgotten my coins and they rolled their eyes and pulled down their mask and with an irritated tone said “I said you wouldn’t get your change if you paid cash, we’re out of change okay??” I apologized again and asked if I could just pay with card then and she said no and I asked if I could then possibly get my change as I was not actually informed. She then did not respond, left to get her manager who then ALSO responded with nothing but an attitude and she looked down and noticed I had pulled out my debit card (that has a transgender pride flag on it) and she immediately says “I’ll just give you your damn change” and she angrily pulled out my change, threw it on the counter in front of me, even though I had my hand outstretched to receive it and she turned around started to walk away and said “there are signs posted everywhere that says we do not have by the way MA’AM” and really emphasized the ma’am. The other employees giggled and told me to “have a nice day miss” Now, I find this behavior not only to be terrible and unacceptable customer service, it is transphobic and ableist. I in no way present female, I have facial hair, and a very deep voice and told them the name for the order was Santiago which is a very traditionally male name. I am so upset by this entire interaction and have sworn never to return to that location even though it is directly by my job...
Read moreChipotle is probably my favorite place to eat in Charlotte because of my diet. The food is great and never gets old. Now this particular chipotle is the worst one in Charlotte. I can't even begin to explain my frustration. I live 2 minutes from here literally in an apt next to the building. I would rate this place below even one star, but I Dnt get that option. Basically the reason this place sucks is the customer service. Every other chipotle has a fast process to get you in and out as fast as possible. For this chipotle it is super busy all the time and the line is out the door. I get it if it's busy but it just looks busy Bc of the bad process the manager has set the employees on. The reason the line is out the door is Bc from when you start at the beginning to choose what you want and move to the checkout at the end. Those ppl are completely ruining the process and slowing down everything. The girl that asks what you want has 3 steps to do. Bowl-rice-meat. That's it, she sets it down and next person. Great that's her job, the person or persons after do the toppings since it takes much longer. Well this dumb ass manager is standing there seeing the line just pile as there is two ppl doing the rice and meats. Instead of the dumb ass employee that's not realizing she should be helping the toppings girl. All she was doing for the 30 minutes was sliding over the bowls. LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS. this one persons holding everyone up is ridiculous. There had to be a change made very soon bc this is a completely idiotic problem that can be fixed.
11/08/16 This is my feedback from when I posted this review: I would like to say all of the issues I have mentioned have been resolved. I came back one time before this and it has been the same. Fast in and fast out. I just hope they keep it up. Whoever made this change, thank you. This is the kind of thing that this whole review/feedback thing should...
Read moreEdit after 3 years of going to this Chipotle: Food here is always great but this is the least reliable Chipotle I've ever frequented (and I love to frequent this chain). There have been countless nights that I've come here and found them to be either unexpectedly closed, only taking mobile orders, or out of something. There have been times that I have come for an in person promotion, but they were only taking online orders. We (myself and the crowd there for the same) discussed with the manager if they would honor it online or allow those here for the promotion to go inside to order inside. Without regard to common sense, they said no to both. The (likely busier) Chipotles in Uptown and South End don't have this problem, so it can't be supply chain, but must be poor management.
TLDR: If you're equidistant to multiple Chipotles and this is one of them, try the other first.
Original review: As far as food quality, it is standard Chipotle fare (which is great), but the service is extremely slow and they are unable to keep food prepared to meet demand. This has been my experience both times I've gone there for a later meal around 7-8 pm, whereas all the other locations I've been too have been swift...
