Firehouse Subs Arboretum — Restaurant in Charlotte

I will NEVER come back to this location EVER. Should have stopped a while ago but the kids love the sandwiches. The quality of food isnt usually the problem. It's the employees awful attitudes that is a complete turn off. Came in today and were the only people there. When we entered theres was no one behind the counter. They were all in the room right of the register talking. Took a minute but someone, wish I would have looked at their names, comes to the register. Doesnt greet us and just stands there looking at the screen waiting for my order. Placed order and then waited for them to fix the sandwiches. While fixing them one of the girls goes to the room to grab some baskets. As shes on her way back out to continue making our sandwiches she picks up a fork with her gloved hand and takes a bite of something just inside the room. Gross!!!!!! Should have got up and left right then and there but I have an autistic son and it's hard to changes plans once they are happening. Decided to just let it ride and we got our sandwiches. Kids sandwiches were good but mine had cheese when I had ordered just lettuce onion yellow mustard and vinegar. Let them know and they remade my sandwich. Lady brings it out and says, "sorry but those usually come with cheese." I said, " thats why I said lettuce onion yellow mustard and vinegar only when I ordered." She came back and said, "yeah well you need to say no cheese" I mean couldnt she have just said sorry and went back to work since there was another customer waiting? I take a look at the sandwich and see no onions. I walk over to the counter and ask if there was onions on this one. She looks up sharply and with a sassy tone says, "you said lettuce yellow mustard and vinegar only." I rolled my eyes and said that's fine and walked away. Not going to engage a bratty person in front of my children. Completely disgusting behavior from all. I was hoping to see a manager while there but didnt. Well maybe I did but she was on the phone wondering around the whole time. Definitely need someone to come in there and clean their attitudes up and tell them all to stop treating customers as if they are an inconvience to them....

This unit ought to be shut down, as it is giving the Firehouse Subs brand a very bad reputation. Reading other reviews, one can see that there are serious management and attitude issues here. I ordered 3 subs to go, paid, and then stepped aside to wait for my order. There were four other customers in front of me, all of whom had already ordered before I came into the restaurant. I stood waiting for 15 minutes. During that time, NOT A SINGLE ONE of the customers in front of me received their order! The three crew members could have cared less, and moved with an extremely lackadaisical attitude. I watched as one of them opened the lid on a panini press and said, "Aw Fu**." At that point, I approached the cashier, cancelled my order, and got a refund. I will not return, and I advise anyone else who enjoys a good Firehouse Sub now and then to avoid this location at all costs. Horrible staff, and obviously...

Hit or miss. I love firehouse subs but this isn’t the first time a problem occurs. I ordered on the mobile app 2 sandwiches. The veggie sub was just lettuce, tomato, and 5 olives?? The description literally says bell peppers, mushrooms, provolone cheese, Monterey Jack, and cheddar cheese. There’s no sign of cheese. I asked the woman who was there if this was my order, and she said “ I guess”. My number was on the receipts so that confirmed it.

The engineer is a favorite of ours. There was no sign of turkey, or mushrooms, or cheese for that matter.

UPDATE: After addressing my concerns and showing my receipt, the manager stepped up and apologized. She mentioned that there was a new person on the line. She offered to redo it for me. Much better the second time and I checked it,...
