If I knew this location was going to try so hard to not honor the Veteran’s Day deal I would have never gone after work today.
(Oh also they tried doing the same thing to the guy at the window when I was at the counter so I know this isn’t an isolated event)
I got to the drive-thru placed her order and then said “For the second combo I would like to redeem the Veterans Day meal”
“No sir; you have to come inside for that?” -“What? Why?” -“You have to come inside for that”
I would have pulled off but naturally how drive-thrus work I was not stuck in the damn line so I couldn’t do anything but sit there. Oh! Also I had to reorder 4 times because everytime I started to order I was cut off by another conversation and she didn’t hear my order. She was talking to another employee. I just got home and after verifying she had rhe right order I got home and had the complete wrong order. And you all know what happens when you bring home your girl the wrong food order or you are missing the right sauce….What a garbage show.
I got to the window and asked, “Why can’t I show you my ID and redeem the veterans day thing here?”
“You HAVE TO COME IN” “I don’t know sir they told us you have to come in”
So I go inside and say I’d like to get that voucher and she asks. “Do you want the voucher or to redeem?”
I said voucher. I was in the drive-thru and ordered “combo 1, combo 2”.
She rings it up I thought I was going to get my money back or something. She’s like $30.42.
I said no I already got the food. I was told like 4 times I had to come in to get the voucher.
“Why do you want the voucher you already got the food?”
“I came here to redeem the voucher and I had to come inside so I want the voucher”
“But you ALREADY HAVE THE FOOD”
……..anyways she ended up handing me the voucher but I had to share my experience because it was a giant waste of my time I felt like it was a trap and they just wanted me to drive off or leave from the inconvenience like don’t offer something and then take advantage of me when I come to get the offer. How are you going ti bait and switch veterans on veterans day like….oh and thank you for having my girl be mad because I brought home the...
Read moreI ordered the jalapeno burger, and the other person in my party ordered a cheeseburger. He had fries, and I had onion rings. All of the food was great, and with a good flavor. There was an elderly man also there. We were the only three people inside the restaurant. It was around 11:15am. The glass doors had finger prints all over them. One of the doors had what looked like dried, smeared vanilla ice cream. The push bar had finger prints all over it. The first two tables we went to sit at were dirty. The floors was dirty, you could see shoe prints on the flooring. One of the napkin dispensers was completely empty. The other was 1/4 full. The elderly man upon receiving his order asked, “Is this a chocolate sundae?” It was a scoop of chocolate ice cream. He wasn’t mean about it. One of the two girls behind the counter snarled her nose, and rolled her eyes at him. He asked again. She said, “yes. This is your order” He replied, “I have just never saw it done this way” She again snarled her nose and rolled her eyes and said, “what did he expect?” Or something to that nature. I told her, “He probably wants vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup”. She replied, “Well, chocolate ice cream was rung up, so that’s what I made.” Neither of the two girls offered to remake the ice cream. While eating another employee came to work. She was eating gummy worms with the guy in the kitchen and some other girl off to the side. We now have five employees standing around with a dirty dining room. If it was busy, I could understand the uncleanliness. If it was clean I could understand the standing around. No one should be standing with a dirty dining room. The employees here need new management. “If you have time to lean, you have to clean!” They also need a lesson in how to treat others with compassion and effective communication. It wouldn’t have taken much to find out what the elderly man wanted, and place a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup with chocolate syrup. It took the same effort to snarl your nose and roll your eyes. Turn that negative attitude positive and do something nice...
Read moreWe went by this location of Freddy’s on our way into Charlotte. We live out close to Lenoir, NC. The cashier who took our order kept asking “Is that all?” Or “is that it?” After every item I ordered. We did wait a bit for our food which is fine. We had no problem with it. When we got to the window, she did hand us our drinks. When she handed us our food, I simply asked if I could have ketchup and she immediately answered its in the bag. I said thank you. My sister looked in the bag and said there’s wasn’t any napkins so I asked for napkins. The cashier grabbed some and handed them to me while my sister said there’s only one burger when we ordered 2. I sat at the window while the cashier just stood there looking away. I said loudly ma’am to get her attention and she came over and I let her know we were missing one burger. She asked for the bag and the receipt. I didn’t get a receipt handed to me and she scoffed and said it was in the bag. I said oh I’m sorry and handed her the bag. She went and put it on the counter and started taking everything out and let the manager know. He asked for fresh burgers. She looked at us and rolled her eyes. He came over and handed our new food to us and we were missing a fry this time. She again stood further away from the window and would not turn around so I said hello? She came to the window and I told her we were missing fries. She didn’t say a word to us and just walked away and you could tell she was irritated and let the manager know and she just stood there again looking away from the window. The manager brought us our fries and we were on our way. All around, it was a bad experience to me because of the cashier being that rude. We were nice and all and we weren’t even upset about our food. It was her attitude we were frustrated about. The manager was great as well. I know people have bad days but the kindness should have started with her. I appreciate fast food workers as I was in the industry for 8 years but I would never treat anyone that awful. She needs to have a position away from customers if she’s going to behave in...
