My wife and I visited Higher Grounds recently and loved it here. The coffee shop is brand new and is very spacious with plenty of seating all around. This is a great place for anybody that needs some time away and wants some peace and quiet. It definitely had a nice calm vibe to it when we were there.
They offer a good variety from coffee, pastries and gelato here. The coffee was very good! We’ll have to try the pastries and gelato on the next visit.
The coffee shop is a little confusing to find if it’s your first time visiting. If you’re driving you’ll have to enter from Queens Road and you enter where the church is. You cannot enter from Providence Road as that is a one way road to exit out the parking lot. There will be a sign at the entrance of the parking lot that states the coffee shop is there. Once you get into the parking lot you’ll see some dedicated spots for the coffee shop so you know you’re at the right spot. Just walk a few steps down the alley of the parking lot and you’ll see the coffee shop sign and enter thru the double doors. It’s really easy once you find it. We were thankful parking was very easy and convenient.
Overall, we enjoyed Higher Grounds and will return back! This is a great coffee shop to the...
Read moreI had the BEST ever experience here! The food was beyond amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. There are tons of different styles of chairs and tables, to accommodate people who need a quiet place to work or friends who need a relaxing spot to catch-up. My coffee was delicious (iced caramel mocha) and my friend ordered a chai tea. They literally brought the infuser right to the table and showed her how to use it. She poured in her own cream and they gave her a sifter for the cocoa powder. So cool! They also have tons of treats, including gelato. More than anything, though, the service and restaurant itself are exceptional! I spoke to Manolo himself - who made himself beyond available - for about 10 minutes and he was so welcoming. I loved hearing about the opening of this cafe and other aspects of his life. Even better, 100% of the profits are donated. I have quite literally never been...
Read moreVery uncomfortable experience. No outlets at most seats, baristas are kind but do not know how to make the drinks on their menu. I ordered a flat white and received brewed coffee with a splash of milk. There is no music playing so speaking is very uncomfortable because it’s insanely quiet. My husband ordered an americano and they asked “medium or large” and he asked “does the large have one more shot?” And they replied “they both come with two shots” so essentially you’re paying $1.50...
